Can anyone tell if this game is playable over dial up and what the game performace is like?

I play on Hindemith with a DSL (3Mb/512kb) connection and at peak times its pretty bad. However theres alot more than just your connection that affects your gameplay.

While having a decent connection helps other things like your processor, memory (virtual and physical), and system setup all add/subtract to performance.

The short of it..If your used to playing other MMos on a dial up connection and have a decent rig it'll be about the same.

**One thing that helps alot is when you go to heavy populated areas (like Giran) hit alt+P to toggle the lower detail setting.

Thanks for the info. My PC isn't gonna be a problem. I have DSL now, but I'm moving soon and can't get it where I'm moving to, so I have to go back to dial up.

Guess I'll just have to try it out for myself.

I am now moved and played on dial up last night. Seems to work just fine. Of course I was in human fighter beginning area with not tooo many others around. I imagine when I get to more populated areas it might get a bit more laggy.

Giran is the main trading city.expect to crash serveral times like I did when going there for the first time.
