is there a sure fire way to do this to get someone tons of xp at a low lvl? any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Yep there sure is. Get on a team of 6-8 people your around your level and just run mishes like crazy. A good team can go from 1-15 with ease in one night. I would suggest doing this with a few Villain Group members though. Random teams usually break up after 2 or 3 mishes.

ok you want the secret to getting lots of XP at a low level?, well it's guarded very closelly, you listening?

the secret is, log in your toon and go to atlas or galaxy newbie yards, then you...

i appreciate this but this is not power leveling.
by power leveling i mean a lvl 8 (for example) on a team with a 25, 30 or higher. just sitting in the back collecting xp.
is this possible?

No. You have to be within 5 (+ or -) levels of the average level of the group to gain exp.

Since Power Leveling is not something that is promoted on the site you may not get the info you are looking for. I'm sure there are some out there with some ideas though.
I don't see the point of being a sponge. So I have no advice other then what was already givin.

ok no offence hon, but I always feel bad if I get in a group and can't do anything to help, I feel like such a sponge
and if you are in a group with that levels and such, you try to do anything to help you are dead, and no Xp anyways, the level range is too great ( I think)
sides, why bother you miss so much level dependant things if you level to fast, your contacts, missons, your badges from some missons, and the fun of growing and learning your AT
but anywas theres some ways to get some but you have to be like really good lovey dovey friends ( or have some alsome blackmail) with these people to get them to drag your sorry slab of meat around with them as they enjoy the game and let you sponge their XP
sorry if I sound altlle growlly, i fight really hard to play and level at a simi normal rate, if I can even level, and hearing someone get or even ask for the XP Gravey train to 40 or 50 just irks me
in COH i wanted a warshade or Peachbringer soo bad, but my highest is only 32

ok let me clarify real quick. my roommate and i started a new player last night b/c i'm moving in 2 weeks. my toon is lvl 30 and he wants to be able to play with me after im gone..so hes trying to get lvls fast so as to catch up with me.
i play on the champion server nad his toon was on the victory server i think

Not recomended, Frowned upon, looked at as a very lame player and probably not asked to team again, laughed at with glee by other villains.
If you didnt earn it, what is it worth?

I'm confuzzled
if you're on champ, and they are on a diff server, how can you all play together anyways?
best just make a new toon on their server and play with them, if you trust them, let them play your new toon along with theirs, so when you move and log back on, you two might be close to the same level still
OR
play together till you move, they move on to something else toon wise till you get back on, and then you both keep intouch and when you come back you both switch back to the leveling twins =-)

There's also this keen thing in CoH and CoV called Lackying (or Sidekicking).
It lets your Level 30 guy run missions with your Level 8 friend. He'll gain experience as if he were level 29 in your missions.
Another cool thing is called Malefactoring (or exemplaring in CoH). Your level 30 can drop down to level 8 to run missions with your friend. Your enhancements are still slotted with whatever SOs you have, so you'll be a REALLY powerful level 8.
The devs have been doing all they can to PREVENT powerleveling. They don't like it. They want people to actually PLAY the content that they worked for many many man hours on. By adding in Lackying and Malefactoring, there are very few valid reasons for powerleveling.
The only semi-valid reason I see for powerleveling is when you've made a boatload of alt-characters and ran the level 1-20 content a bunch of times, so you just don't want to see it anymore.
Powerleveling tends to make bad players. See the 2004-2005 Winter Event for an example of this. The Winter Lord power level characters were just horrible, for the most part.

i used to be in an sg on COH that was nearly always 8-10 lvls ahead of me and I always SK'ed up and tried to help. SK/LAckey/Malefactoring are awesome ways to do this in a fun way. But 8 man teams rock for xp.

get a toon 5 lvls higher than your friend.. Get in there group and do your missions.. Hopefully you have a host of alts you can do this with at different lvls.. I do this with my roomates when they want to just get up a few lvls in the begining..

Gameamp rules prevent me from sharing my feelings on the topic but i will say this: If you wanna play with your friend SK, lackey, malefactor or exempt. You get lynched or severly flamed on some servers for asking for a PL.*
*Saw it happen on Guardian when going to get the aura mission for my Mastermind.

Regarding the 8 person team comment that was made:
The devs, quite a while back (around issue 4) put a little bonus reward system into effect. The larger the team that you're on, the more your mission rewards and kills are worth. So yes, an 8 man team will ROCK for experience.
I'm recalling running the Frostfire mission in CoH a while back with a lower level character (around 8ish) and getting 2-3 LEVELS during the mission.
So yes, large teams = good exp.
