RE: Griffon Farming Question

To find both griffon bosses head out of Augury Rock into Prophets Path, then go south until you reach sort of a circular dead-end, one of them spawns there, and the other is slightly west of there.

RE: Griffon Farming Question

to go augary rock, enter prophet's path, you will see a wall. go right and theres one rockshot devourer, kill it or leave it alone. then just keep going right and theres griffins there.

P.S. even if ur still lvl 20 warrior/monk, you cant still farm alone, u still need healer henchmens so u can survive

I farm them alone all the time... and so do countless others, check out the Guides section - there are lots of variations to the solo build.

Yeah I farm them alone ALL of the time. Just use healing spells and gladiators defense and stuff.

I dont even fight them solo with my warrior but with my monk :S and not a 55 monk. So you dont need hench or wathever at all :)

RE: Griffon Farming Question

yea, just replace the aoe skills with like, Retribution, or Balts Spirit (so u always have energy) I also use zelots fire so that every time I cast Vigorous spirit I do damage also. Just some ideas.

RE: Griffon Farming Question

huuumph @ healing skills, (other than mending and live vicariously)

Troll cave and griffons:
disrupting chop if you are fighting the bosses
cyclone axe
2 other adren attackes (penetrating blow and executioners strike are my choices)
gladiators defense
bonetti'ss defense
mending
live vicariously

*put sprint in place of an axe attack helps to get to the troll cave*

a 3:1 vamp +15% in a stance axe helps, but not necessary

a -2/+45 in a stance shield or while enchanted helps but not necessary

then just a little practice and stay in a stance the entire time

if you go for the trolls, try to keep glads defense as backup, if your cyclone axe gets interrupted, your gonna need it :)

basically cyclone axe, bonetti's then repeat, against griffons, use glads to deal damage. the other axe attackes can be used while in glads stance, but not while in bonetti's

Ettins:
replace live vicariously with watchful spirit when fighting ettins, and replace cyclone with eviscerate or cleave, dump the stances for anything, but dolyak signet is helpful.

As a hint, fight anything while on higher ground than your targets, and i use cave walls and cliff faces to stand against, that also limits the number of foes that can hit you at any given time. Dont fight the trolls in the middle of the cave.

AND.... dont spend all your time farming... use it to break up monotony or when nothing immediate is going on... farming to farm, IMHO, is a goofy way to spend quality game time... and pffft @ making a 55 monk just to farm with, and not knowing how to use it.... JMHO on that cookie cutter build

for one thing, cut the caps, we went over this before, secondly, duh

repeated farming changes the spawns and decreases the drops, it will also eventually get you a server msg, basically telling you that you wont get sh*t if you keep it up, ... move on fgs

RE: Griffon Farming Question

When farming griffons, there are two bosses, Featherfist and Screamingclaw, Featherfist is the Monk Boss (I recommend staying away unless you have a lot of time or interrupt skills) and featherfist is the warrior boss. They are both normally in the area to the left as you come out of augury. In the same zone, there are two Minotaur bosses, Gootle Shizlehorn or something of that like who's a necro(STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE A WARRIOR) and another Warrior boss who's name I can't remember.

RE: Griffon Farming Question

Yeah, Screamingclaw is the monk boss, on my warrior/monk build i stay clear of him, it takes a very long time to kill him. Featherfist is the warrior boss, he is just basically a powered up Griffon, he's easy, just takes a little while to kill him.
Sometimes neither of the bosses spawn, sometimes only one, and sometimes neither will appear, it's totally random i think.

RE: Griffon Farming Question

Yeah, if that necro minotaur boss is there dont take too much minos. He steals your health and you ll be killed very easely.
I always take a small group then (about 6 you can handle), kill them except boss, pickup drops and use sprint to go away...
