I also play a bard. At first level you only get to choose one of the spells and that is the spall you have for that level. (More will be avalible as you level)
Press Ctrl+C or C depending on your keyboard mapping and the on the spells tab. You should see under the Level 1 tab the one spell you picked at character creation.
As for the list I will look over what I have at home tonight. Nothing in your list seems glaringly wrong.

1st off I would like to welcome both Atkunra and Cathulu to the site.
And it would be great if you could double check that for us.

Yeah that is one of the more confusing things if you have never played the pen and paper version. Spell levels don't line up with your actually character levels. depending on the class it can be a few character levels before you get a new spell level. For instance, at level 10 the highest spell level anyone will have is lvl 5. Dont as why they did it that way... I dont know, but that is how it is in PnP and that is how they do it in the game

Fascinate keeps the target focused on you. They will stand there for a significant period of time until they are struck. They will do nothing. The good thing about fascinate is the saving throw is off of your perform roll/rank. So you can usually fascinate something that might resist your spells otherwise. The downside to fascinate is the time it takes for it to take hold.

got my bard to 4 today, got some pretty bad ass new spells. was beginning to think the class sucked, but i've got to say i dont really feel the same. seems like the bard, more than other classes has the potential to be whatever you want, without cross classing. i have a very charismatic bard that lacks in melee skills. his songs are great and i have some pretty good direct damage aoe spells now. its nice, if the cleric falls i jump in on the heals, same if the cleric goes oom. we can tank a bit incase of emergency and so on, i guess its true. the bard class is everything in a can. still learning but i'm getting the grasp of the bard i think

note, i also dont think that you should cross class a bard at all. i dont see any point, if you go bard stick to full bard

This is what I've heard from just about every bard. They seem pretty nice from what I've read about them.
