I recently went out and found the colectors edition for $29.99, since looking more I have seen this seems to be a price at a lot of stores and is the same as the standard edition. I'm not sure if this is news, but it was news to me. Also one of the sites (i think EB) still mentions the pre-order with helmet, not sure if they really still have em. hope this is not old news.

Not old news at all. Though my ex-roommate, who is a store manager at Gamestop, told me about this as well. They're selling the collectors set and the regular edition for the same price. However, the collectors set is a limited print, so it's not going to be around forever.
I'm not certain about the pre-order boxes though. I think, in order to get the pre-order stuff, you needed the code that gets mailed to you when you entered the pre-order code before release.

For what it's worth. I bought my son a copy of the game, with the Pre-order added for a penny at Fry's Electronics in December, and you still get the special helmet. I bought an extra pre-order to see if I could add a second helmet to my account, but they are not "stackable" as I found out when I emailed support at NCsoft. Oh well, a dollar wasted.

Thanks for the info on the helmets, saw preorder boxes for sale on Ebay and was thinking og adding some to my account, you just saved me a few bucks, guess i have to pay you in rating as best I can.
Guess if i use the new one for a new acct i can "buy: a helmet for that acct.

New here, but playing CoH since summer. Just wanted to add that there was still 3 preorder boxes here in springfield, mo at teh gamestop. thanks.
