Calling One Swordsman, and Unkleanone

I've seen both your guys' posts in the WoW portal asking various questions about World of Warcraft. If you guys are going to get it ( I am thinking about it as well) I think we should do it together! You know, start off on the same faction, and the same server. I think it would be neat to learn the game together. Also, if any other person here is going to try out WoW soon too, your welcome to join Swordy, Unklean (If you guys want to), and I.

So, whaddya say?

Awesome. So...which faction were you going to be? I have always been a sucker for being the good guy [Alliance I guess]. But then again, I just LMAO when I watch this minotaur dude dance...its hilarious! Heres the link.

Don't go playing WoW. That's the enemy!
If you want to play a great new game with a subscription, go play DDO instead.
If you like Guild Wars, DDO will appeal way more to you than Level-grinding, level-grinding, level-grinding WoW :-)

While being on the topic of other MMOs, I am seriously considering RF Online just read into the storyline of each empire...and you will be hooked! Seriously, watching those 3 videos [ Stunning graphics!] of RF really tips me in the direction of pre-ordering RF right now.

Yes, I am buying WoW as soon as possible. As well as being a sucker for "the good guy" I am also a sucker for HUGE online battles...theres something just so sw33t about being in a battle where its small army versus small army.

Hav you guys heard about the new stuff coming in Factions? Team up with your alliance(not sure how many yet) and compete in big battles, or do the challenges where you fight against wave after wave of enemies until you can't anymore. Of course we don't know the specifics on this stuff, and we're not sure how it'll turn out, but they sounds interesting for sure.

Definitely a PvE realm, because you can still PvP whenever you want. Where as on a PvP server...while your killing a monster or questing you can be attacked by the enemy faction ( A real person) without reason/notice.

No flaming allowed, yes that is a sort of subtle flame post. Also, unless your a person that wants to join us...this thread is not mean't for you. Lastly, posting on the Guild Wars portal is the only way to get Unklean's or Swordy's attention...as we are avid Guild Wars fans.

Yes I agree, the reason Kratos posted here is because we are Guild Wars fans =)

But also i dont believe in all this 'I hate WoW' and 'WoW are the enemy' I am willing to try any game that looks good =)

I will also be playing Guild Wars regularly, but the majority of my gaming time spent will be testing out this "WoW" game. Thats really the main reason for me buying it, is because it has some good reviews about it, so I want to see what all the hype is about.

Nah, a bit of rivalry between WoW and GW has always existed in both communities. It's all in good fun mostly. WoW is a fun game, zenith of the classic MMORPG genre and worth your time. Maybe even the subscription. Though personally I'd much prefer something like DDO which is at one and the same time a Real Classic and something a bit more original than WoW.
Don't bother with the official forums though, the community here at Gameamp is much nicer and more conveniently accessible while refreshing these pages :-)

GL with WoW, I am waiting for DDO, grew up with the table top (PnP), and can't wait for it to release on Feb 28th. I have a few friends that play WoW, they seem to love it but I just can't get past the cartoony (is this a word) graphics of the game, and don't see spending the $50 USD plus subscription to laugh at the dance of a minitor (no flame intended) the video is plenty of exposure to that for me.

lmao the whole point of forums is open discussion, to everyone, if it was meant to be a private chat it would be a java based chat applet you could set up your own channel with a password on it.

Wow (not the game the word)... After reading some of the posts here I think I might want to clear something up. For I am the person to person translation service type thing... yea I nead a better name.

Ok now some of my guild wars friends when to WoW. I actualy decacated my last video to those 2 and some other good people. WoW is an interesting game. But level grinding is a pain when fighting a max leveled chracter ("Shot down! BOYA!" you will see that in the chat screen, lol).

RF is in my opinion the play style of Final Fantasy XI. I played that game for 20 mins... After signing up the forums for 2 hours (user name credit card bla bla bla) and downloading the updates for 5 more hours. It was more of a turn baced type thing. and because of action RPGs like GW I diced that game faster then silly ranger being asked a question. Now I might still buy RF because of the shiny box. But I'm not going to pre-order it when they have lillte reviews for it and any good screen shots/videos.

In closeing Lani hates level based chracter games

And we are going to lose more players to WoW. Just remember. We got the good music videos! And less Kill Stealing! remember that after you get killed over and over again in a PvP area on the first day you try out the game. (I got a sick sence of hummor don't I :P)

To me, RFonline looks and feels a lot like Lineage II In Space... As Staff we're actually prohibited to saying anything nasty about games featured with a fan-site on Gameamp, so I'll just put it like this. No I don't. I hate grinding and I hate having to plan my character's evolvement 40 to 60 levels ahead when there's no option to 'reshuffle your deck' like Guild Wars has.
I also dislike equipment based games. I want my abilities to be mostly innate, not depending on a ridiculously high-quality weapon or armor.

Heh sounds like a good idea for all of us to get it around the same time...I'm just waiting for walmart to get another shipment of the game in...it is sold out...fyi so is guild wars Yes!!

Also don't worry Lani I have no intentions of ever quiting guildwars or gameamp for that matter.

I just for some reason do enjoy the whole item based level grinding thing lol. Maybe cuz I'm pretty good at it lol. Plus they just have all those features I think guildwars should have. The randomness like weddings, mounts, fishing, the pets, and *special Secret areas* that I already know about because of a friend of mine. I also already know some key farming areas for items and gold and things like that.

I will also probably make two characters right from the start one for each faction.
