well not in THAT way though...well I can dream :P
well anyways,I'm gonna get to the point.
I've been rating people here and there, amd I keep having this vision of a warning that I might get banned for spamming credit :P
So, How should I rate people? I mean, if someone's giving me a really good advice and I wanna give him credit how much should I give? 10? 5?What if I give him a fiver and I think it's good but he thinks I didn't like his advice and thinks gets upset :P
Or can I just keep rating people with top shots if I really liked they're advice? Also, Can I give small credits for people that I think are polite enough to earn a credit even if they didn't give as good advices as some other guy ?

IMHO you should give credits in a post if you feel like it was helpful, good advice, funny, or informative. And of course the negative points in the same way.
Thats what the credits are for. :)
Its nice to see you so active in the posts btw.

hehe, thanks Apoletta :D I haven't had time to actually play Gw in the past few days since I've just been surfing here at the forums :P Also, can you get banned or something for giving too much credit? 'cos if it was up to me I'd kinda rate almost everyone I've ever get a post ALOT of points :P

No-one should be upset for giving them any amount of credit :)
In my view giving 10 points of cred should be for help and advice that's either very good or detailed etc. If you ask a simple question and someone gives you a simple answer then 5 cred is enough. Some of the users however will go beyond the call of duty to help you out with something and it's that bit extra that deserves a maximum amount of cred I believe.

as long as u think someone's post was helpful for the game amp and gw comunnities, and see ppl r trying to make things better i dun see a problem in rating and giving credit and i think thats wonderful cause it kind of encourages ppl to help even more i dunno its just my opinion :)

I'm pretty sure that you won't get banned or anything else for that matter for simply giving out alot of credit if you or anyone else for that matter were abusing the system we will catch on eventually and action will be taken....lol but don't worry we can generally tell the difference between generosity and general cheating. Or something like that. lol...mainly just follow the advice you've recieved here and you'll be fine...no worries.

If you feel someone should receive 10 credit then give them 10 credit if you want or 5 if you feel thats what they should get its really a matter of your opinion. Whenever you give someone credit neither they nor the site staff know exactly who rated the post, just the amount of credit that was givin, so you don't have to worry about someone being angry or saying something to you because they thought they deserved more credit.

Yeah, just give credit where YOU feel it's due. Each of us will be impressed by different things, but that's what a community is all about.
I'll often give credit for something that's well written 'cause I like that kind of thing, but others might think that totally unimportant and prefer to rate something for another reason.
Oh, and something that makes me laugh always gets credit too!

Credability should not be limited, for example whe the guys at the graphics shop make me something i rate every single post of theirs in the thread with + 10 creds
