Allright, I've been looking for a good healing monk build. What would be the best class for a pure healing monk? Mo/Me? Im not sure. I've looked on other threads and stuff but haven't been able to come up with anything. If anyone has a build that they would like to share with a mo/me or mo/w or mo/n or whatever you have for a pure healer it would be very helpful. Mucho appreciation guys.
A list of skills and attributes would also be nice. Thanks guys.

This is what i've been using:
Signet of devotion
Orison of Healing
Word of Healing
Kiss of Dwayna
Divine Spirit
*free*
*free*
Res of choice
In the two free slots add whatever skills you want to support. I was using Mo/E for a bit with Ward Against Melee and Armor of Earth for a while, but recently I've switched to Reversal of Fortune and Mend Ailment.
When running a healing monk, it's a good idea to use as much Divine Favor as you can to boost the healing power of your spells.

The build i run usually is:
Orison of Healing
Dwayna's kiss
Word of Healing
Healing Seed
Rebirth
mend ailment
The rest you can choose what skills you want but i never have to use any skills besides those.
All my attribute points go into healing and divine favor and i never heal unless you are below the minimum hp difference for the heal so let's say you have taken a total of 30 dmg and i heal for 60 with orison, you won't get healed until you have taken 61dmg worth on the bar. Don't ask how i can tell how much that is..the answer is: i've been playing monk too much and it's unhealthy to know these things :P but yeah, if you do that you will never lose too much energy and will never have problems with energy management unless you really have to spam spells. Fortunatly most of those only cost 5 en.

This is what i use, its never let me down yet.
Divine Boon
Signet of Devotion
Healing Touch
Healing Seed
Orison of Healing
Rez Sig
then as Mo/W:
Bonettis Defense
Word of Healing
or as Mo/N:
Offering of Blood
Blood Renewal/Healing Breeze
Dont worry about the nerf. These still work.

Well, even using 10 energy once seems to eat up my energy like crazy. It seems to me also, that hitting an ally who is almost dead with word of healing along with the decent divine favor bonus is generally as good as heal other at half the energy cost.

I use heal other with my build. This is the build that I use for a solo healer in the new UW:
Healing Breeze
Orison of Healing
Word of Healing
Heal Other
Smite Hex
Heal Party
**Res skill, I use Rebirth**
Heal Area
This build has cheap, but strong heals. I use a Wensalus's Faith (the staff, I forgot the name), and have not once run out of energy even in the new UW. Not the best one there is, but I love it.
Here are the attributes:
Healing- 16
Divine favor- 9 (8+1)
Split the rest between Smiting and Protection.
***THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED***

That is the same problem that I have. I always know somehow how much damage someone has taken, and thus tend to not over or under heal. :( I do like the skill though. Just means we play to much monk. ;)
But my skills tend to be a little bit more different from yours. I tend to run a Mo/? and bring nothing but monk spells, and since I am usually the pure healer running in the team. I tend to do PvP more so than PvE here recently though, so my build is for PvP.
=======
Skills:
=======
1.Word of Healing
2.Orison of Healing
3.Healing Touch
4.Infuse Health or Contemplation of Purity
(Depending on what we are expecting to encounter)
5.Holy Breeze
6.Mend Ailment
7.Holy Veil or Remove Hex
8.Divine Boon
===========
Attributes:
===========
Healing Prayers: 16 (12 + 3 + 1)
Protection Prayers: 4 (3 + 1)
Divine Favor: 15 (12 + 3)
==========
Equipment:
==========
Armor: Full Asthetics (Max Energy)
Weapon 1: Healing Staff with 20/20
Weapon 1 Mods: Hale + Fortitude or Insightful + Fortitude
Weapon 1 Focus: +12 energy 20/+1 Focus
Weapon 2: 20% faster recharge Prot Spells, +12 energy
Weapon 2 Focus: +12 energy/+15 energy/-1 regen
Weapon 3: 20% faster recharge Prot Spells, +12 energy
Weapon 3 Focus: +12 energy 20/+1 Focus
Weapon 4: Empty
Weapon 4 Focus: Empty
I know that that is a little more than you were probably looking for, but that is the build that I use when I do PvP with my guild, and we do decently well - really well depending on who we are fighting. PUG's are the best...:D

my newest char, a monk is a mesmer secondary and I like it! Some of the energy stealing skills work well for a monk to not only recharge himself but also inflict a little bit of damage on the battle field.

Why do you use healing touch? Isn't that sucicidal having to touch the person usually dying in a mob? Do you change focus during the game?
Thanks for your help.

I prefer using the following:
WoH
Dwayna's Kiss
Infuse
Heal area
Remove hex
Remove condition
Rebirth
... (capture signet)
This way i can remove conditions when the health is not dropping so fast, top off people, and when the going gets tough WoH for extra healing power and infuse for when speed is of the essence... Heal area for when I'm in need of healing, or when the minnions could use a boost....
But, PvP is not really my thing, so can't promise it'll wok there.....
And infuse scares the hell out of other monks that do not know the effect of it.... :-D
and yes, i totally rely this way on others to do damage or interrupt the enemy :-)

Healing Touch is used only to heal yourself. Lot of HP, low energy cost, and low activation time.

Hmm well I have a build-in-the-making I guess you could say...
1 Divine Spirit-Helps Energy
2 Divine Intervention-For those that are about to get pummeled.
3 Signet of Devotion- If you've spammed all your energy.
4 Ethereal Light-Simple low-cost energy spell.
5 Healing Breeze-Health Regen of Course
6 Healing Seed-For those that like health.
7 Dismiss Condition-This helps alot DON'T FORGET IT
8 Balth Spirit, Rez, Healing Whisper Balth- energy, rez...You should know, HW-40...88 health with low energy cost and fast recharge I believe.
(NOTICE: There aren't any elites, because I usually do things like SPA and AA (If I had to choose an elite it would probably be that one with the 50% cast and 50% healing, forgot the name)
I'm not so sure about the energy management, but I think 50 should be enough to cover it, possibly. It's an all-monk build so you don't have to worry about the second class for this one, and I believe they are all < 10 energy, especially with the Divine Spirit on.
Hmm... The wep I would choose would be Totem Axe for the extra 5 energy and of course: the +20% enchanment enhnancer.
A good maxed off-hand can help with the energy.
I'm still yet to try this out though so critique if you must, just know I haven't used it yet xD (Hope this topic isn't old btw)
