| Particular Dye Combination |
|
|
|
So now that I have my elite warrior ascolon armor, I'm wanting to dye it now. But I have no idea how dye mixing works in Guildwars (technically; I know the basics). I know how colors in "real life" mix together, I'm quite skilled with photoshop, etc, so I know a little something about something. But I've heard that GW doesn't follow real life color mixing, instead they use some sort of hue mixing? Anyways. For my armor I'm wanting to do a White color with a hint of dark green or regular green tint. What combination would work best to obtain this color, providing that it is possible. I've seen other ascolon armors white with a blueish tint, I'd like the same only with a green tint instead.
Perhaps a silver-dye remover-silver-green? or silver-silver green? What would you all suggest?

Actually they do, but they act like watercolours; those kinda have rules of their own.
A very good guide on the subject:

Attempt One,
Ok after reading through the very helpful text/threads/etc that you all have kindly posted, I went through and made this as my first attempt.
Providing that Order might be important
Silver -> Silver=Mix1
Yellow -> Mix1=Mix2 (Supposively White)
Mix2 -> Green
Not quite the color I'm looking for though. I still want it to be primarly "white" with a tint of green, perferably darker.
I think next I'll do White into a Silver->green.

Keep in mind that if you try to mix more than 4 dyes together, the first one gets ignored. So, a silver-silver-yellow-silver-green will be the same color as a silver-yellow-silver-green mix. If you want to try a very pale green, I'd suggest you just try silver-green-silver or silver-green-silver-silver. I'm not sure you're ever going to be able to get a green-tinted white; the closest is likely going to be pale green.

Oh and by the way, if you only mix two dyes, there is no difference in the outcome depending on order. For example, Blue + Green is the same as Green + Blue. Good luck on finding the color!

My best guess would be Green / Silver / Silver / remover or Green / Silver / remover / remover.
Note: Apply the Dye Remover to your dye mix, not to your armor after you dyed it with the rest of the mix.
