collector's or pre order?

Hi Ya'll!
I was hoping that someone could answer my question:
Does Guild Wars:Factions Collector's Edition and the Pre Order package have any differnce?
I know that you get 2 unique weapons with the pre order package but can you get those with the collector's edition or are these the same thing? :D

I read the same thing somewhere too. If it's true, I'm gonna take that one extra slot rahter than those weapons! :P you can always buy them or get better ones :P

First off, an extra slot has NOT been confirmed by arenanet, including when Gail Gray was specifically asked about it. If someone can show an offical statement about it, then maybe then should. I know it is listed as part of the contents on some of the sales sites, but still nothing from arenanet.

The pre-order package and the Collectors Edition are seprate items. No realtionship to each other.
What exactly comes with the CE hasn't been released.

i believe it has been confirmed, i remember reading it in a thread on this very site, i may be wrong but im pretty sure its been confirmed and there was uproar about it.

I edited my post afterward. But until someone can post a link, screenshot, etc to something listed as offical, not having read it somewhere, I won't accept it as fact. I personally hope the CE will include an extra slot, because I already plan on purchasing it.

When GW was realsed the CE was released at the same time, as is the plan this time. It wasn't available till a day later for the pre orders, though. Shipping issues. But most places do not get as many copies of the CE.

I hope that the extra slot is a fact since I'd hate to wait for the CE and miss the pre order package (and the special weapons) and just after the PO package they'll say that the extra slot was just a rumour ><

Assuming it's the same with Factions as with the original, you can get BOTH the pre-order and the Collectors Edition. They wer not mutually exclusive.

After this post Gaile didn't mention the extra slot no more.
And it isn't on the official site either, so lets not jump conclusions...

What Gaile did say was that they were gonna try and get the content of the CE of "Factions" up on the site by Friday

altough, i dont know for shure about the CE, nead too search for that a bit.
i do hope that the divine aura is still in the CE in the faction edition :D

I don't know how it is working in other stores but I do know that I can "pre-order" the CE online from Gameplay.

The "pre-order" box DOES NOT COST ANYTHING, except for in the case of online, postage - but most online stores are only offering the "online pre-order".

So if I pre-order the CE online, I will get the key codes for the pre-order items and the beta weekend.

Theoretically if you pre-order the CE instore, you should ALSO be given the pre-order box - assuming the store is participating in the pre-order.

well retro77, my local retailer hasn't heard anything of pre-ordering faction..
the only thing he got on his list is

factions ritualist
factions assassin
factions collectors edition

first two names refering to the box I think.
Anyway I paid the guy 10 euro's which was enough to order 2 copies of CE
I will be keeping up to date if they get any word of pre-order keys there ;-)

I guess with the CE your hands will glow again like with the GW CE. Or you'll have some other similar effect.
Which pops up a question: what if mixing a nonCE GW with a CE factions (or vice versa)? Will your hands glow for all of your characters? Or will the occurent CE effect be global?

I asked Gaile about devine aura (glowing hands)on this CE, but she couldn't confirm devine aura was gonna be on factions CE as well.

She did say however that if you combine your CE of prophecies with a normal edition of factions, assassin and ritualist will have devine aura as well.

I'm looking forward to today or tomorrow (if they are up to schedule) to find information about the content of the CE on the official website.
