I heard someone say the -50hp grim cesta from the cities of ascalon quest was nerfed out. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Agreed. My friend did the quest a day or two ago and got it. So unless they changed it yesterday, it should still be there.

i got it with my ranger 3 weeks ago, then tried with my elementalist yesterday and did not get one, it is now a limited item.

That rumor started to spread a while ago, didn't know it still hadn't reached some people.
Dozens of people confirmed back then it was not true, but maybe the rumor has just been reinitiated because there's another update.
There'll be people saying that after every update...
For as far as I know atm, it's still given as a reward for that quest.

whats odd is that my warrior has the quest and his reward is a regular old offhand and the one my ele has does still have the -50 focus

out of the 6 characters i've made total at least 4 of them have gotten the -50 cesta as a reward...and at least 2 of those characters were recent my nec and ranger.

seems to be there still. perhaps some classes do not get it as a reward. either way the thing isnt worth 10k, i've got about 8 of them (many have been loaned out to friends)

well i did this quest the other day with all my characters and i got one for each character so its still there all u will see on the quest screen is a grim cesta(thats it)
