In the training area there are many NPC's who are carrying shields. And even Blue Steel in Kings Row (I believe it is) is carrying a shield. So is this something that may be possible for future heroes?
A shield to allow for defense and could possibly be used for melee attacks. I won't go so far as to ask for a ranged attack with it (I don't want to step on any patriotic superhero toes) but I think it would sweet to carry a shield, block an attack, close to melee range, and just wail on a baddie with it. It could be a power that you have to activate (toggle) and then you only have certain attacks with it active (possibly like a PB or WS while shapeshifted). So maybe a different AT for shields?

Very cool idea. Maybe as a new Tanker powerset. A shield/mace tanker. Hmmm. I can see the possebilities ...

they did talk about at one time adding shields as a powerset. I haven't heard anything on it in quite a while, but yep, they were planning it. :)
I'm not a Super Hero, but I play one on PC!

this would be cool, and would add to the medieval aspect with BS/shield, mace/shield, and axe/shield combos. i personally would have lots of fun with this

Yup...states said in one of his posts that it is still planned, at least for tankers. Not in Issue7, though...it seemed like it was still out on the horizon for a bit longer.
