i wanna make a warrior monk and i was wondering about somethings
1) whats max for vampiric axe. (anybody got the upgrade i can buy)
2) does mending work well with a vampiric axe, would i get the +hp per hit but no hp degen
3) is the health stealing added onto the dmg or is it included
my questionmark key and slash key dont work :)

well mending does stop health degen, vamperic is added on top of your normal damage and mending is not for used as i find it quite useful in times (only pve)

You are aware that you just insulted every troll/griffon/minitaur/ almost all w/mo out there? That is so incredibly stupid and you clearly know nothing about w/mo. Anyway no mending doesn't effect the extra damage of vampiric mods which makes it a worthy combo basically +3 health a attack and +X health a second which means alot of health. Good luck

oh well where was i?
1)all axe max damage is 6-28 but vamp mod is 3/-1
2)no i dont think they compliment eachother well. you should use live vicarously instead
3)yes, life steal damage is included in your normal damage, but it will appear as a number next to your basic damage output.

You still gain the life stealing ability from the vampric axe, but lose one pip of health regen, so if you had a +3 mending it would only be +2
3) is the health stealing added onto the dmg or is it included
The life stealing ability from the mod stacks ontop of the dmg you do, so even if you only deal 1dmg from your attacks with the axe an extra 3dmg is added ontop of that.

Mending is one of the best skills I know.
Have you ever calculated the massive amounts it heals for over time? It does make a difference, try going through a long zone where you consistantly take a lot of damage with mending, then without...
And then there's the fact it constantly keeps your while enchanted bonusses active too.
Ofcourse, in PvP it's crap, but in PvE... gimme a break man, Mending sucks... muwhahahah.

Well, although I agree that Mending (in normal battle circumstances) is for NEWBS (n00bs/noobs are different) as it just provides fodder for enemies to shatter/drain/otherwise remove to their benefit, it can be useful in many circumstances. Still, if you have a vampiric weapon, it's much better to have a second weapon slot without said vampiric weapon rather than wasting a precious skill slot and energy regen on the minor benefit that Mending provides. Even if you DO have Mending, it's still better to have a second, vampiric-less weapon slot so you get all of the benefit from Mending when you aren't in battle.
As was said, vampiric damage is on top of normal damage, and it's life stealing damage, too, so it isn't reducable. So, a vampiric weapon gives an additional +3/+5 damage per strike depending on weapon type, which isn't much, but it adds up over time. The stolen life also adds about 1/3 pip of life regen whenever you're attacking (this is regardless of weapon type). It isn't much, but it, too, is helpful.

3:1 vamp is no substitute for live vichariously but with LV up a 3:1 vamp means a good deal of health regen. Also during missions use another weapon or take off your vamp while your not fighting, i hate people who dont do that

This is how mending shows upon Andrew B's skill bar
Mending
While you maintain this enchantment, target ally gains health regeneration of +1-3. In addition to the initial energy cost, you also lose 1 point of energy regeneration while the enchantment is in effect. Warning, this enchantment is a noob skill. Do not use if you do not want to be ridiculed by those of greater substance than you.
So i can sorta see why he would say this.

He didnt insult me. I don't use mending because there are other more effective healing spells than it. I can only see mending being useful at +4 regen, actually.

thats funny im no noob iv completed this game more then once and i use mendin i like it it comes in handy. It stops the vamp drain on you and u gain hp back instead of losin it.

I use mending when my weapons have +15Dmg when enchanted or i use str of honor. That way i do extra dmg..actually i usually use str of honor because of the extra dmg and i trust my monks to not let me die..even if those monks are henchies..yep..str of honor ftw. actually...smiting ftw! smiting rules! wooo!

Actually if you use an axe that has +15% dmg while enchanted..then str of honor..then judge insight..and customize it...off topic but thats alot of dmg from an enchantment...
