I just wanted to let everyone know that Das Carrot and the Swiss line of heroes will be out of action. The family budget does not have room for many extras right now. So, I have had to deactivate my account hopefully just until the end of June. I will more then likely use some birthday money to buy a few months then.
This was the first MMOG that I have played and you all made the experience a tremendous one. I have truly enjoyed the teams I have been on with so many of you. I will still have to check the site for time to time (I do have an entry in the costume contest), but I just wanted give a heads up to my absence in the game.
Special thanks go out to the staff of this site (Past and Present)! You all have made the game less difficult and much more enjoyable with all the helpful information, support, fun contests, teamwork and friendship. Thank you!
It has been an honor and privilege to team and talk with all of you. I look forward to the time when Das Carrot can once again grow in the garden of Paragon City.

Sorry to hear you will be leaving us for a while. Real life can be a real party pooper sometimes. But I am proud you made the very difficult, but heroic, decision to think of your family first. I hope you will keep visiting us here on the forums a lot. It is always great to see that orange stick popping up. And I will keep your heroes in the SG's we share save until you return. See you soon, swiss!!

Take care of the family and come back when you can. It's a bummer that you won't be out there making the game more enjoyable for everyone else for a while, but like Phedra said...... family first.
Your friends will be there to throw you a welcome back party when you can make it!

I understand the money crunch Carrot... Do what you have to do, and get back in the game when you can. I would have been in the same boat, but the day my account expired my best game-friend bought me a card that should keep me playing through my June birthday. He needs the healing. :-p
Seeya in a few months, and sooner here we hope!

Well, bubba, I agree with the rest of the regulars. I love seeing you on the site. You definitely don't need an active account to come pass some time with us. You're always welcome.

Well man, we'll miss you. There's no reason you can't stay on the site and keep up here. Just because you don't have an account doesn't mean you can't have opinions on all the stuff you already know. I hope that you can find some room in your budget soon to go back to the game you enjoy. For now, enjoy the time off and it'll be that much sweeter when you get it back. If you choose not to stay on here and talk, then I wish you the best of luck until you decide to come back. If you decide to stay here, then damn you for scaring us like that. :P
Best of luck to you buddy.

Although I'm fairly new to speaking in the forums, I'm definitely not new to reading them. I will miss you Swiss, and although We've never met, I've always gotten the impression that you were a great person.
Stay posting, and I'll stay reading! :)

Quick aside - Welcome to the site Dark. I know you've been reading for a while, but everyone deserves a warm welcome.
Still want you to stick around, Swiss. :)

I appreciate that everyone. This is certainly something I shouldn't quit cold turkey. I will definitely have to stop in here to get my fix. I don't want you all to open up the paper one morning and read about a man that dyed his skin orange and had green hair who was standing at the entrance to the mall and yelling "Does anyone need a rez or teleport to the Atlas Park gate?" Later he was found at the bottom of a large building badly bruised from a long fall and muttering something about too many toggles and his Endurance must have run out.
Thanks to this site and all of you that will not happen. I hope to be online healing everyone again soon, but unless a miracle happens, it will more then likely be 3 or 4 months. Although, as you all have said, that will make it that much sweeter when I am able to return.
Again, this game would not be as good if not for those of you at this site. It is nice to see true heroism in action everyday here. This community accepts someone not because of age, location or belief, but because that is what heroes do. They see everyone (even 8 foot tall carrots) as someone who should be treated with respect. Thanks for making this a great community.
Just a reminder: Switzerland does not get attacked because everyone in their military carries a Swiss Army Knife.

-ROFL!!!!!- That is hilarious, but at the same time brings back memories of my own from my high school years when my non-school hours were consumed with playing Ultima IV. I clearly remember walking down to the bookstore to buy a new D&D book with the grocery money my dad gave me before he went out of town on business and thinking to myself in all seriousness, "If I run out of money I can always go get more of the special weapons from under the trees in Lord British's castle and sell them at the weapons shop..."
Have a good few months away and good luck getting everything straightened out, and in the meantime keep coming by here and getting in touch with your inner hero. :-)

Ack, that happened to you too? That happened to me because of school. Had to log off right around December to catch up with work and build up my money again (because I'm paying for it and I'm 14!!!), and now I'm gone till the summer :-[. Ah well, being able to log in and talk to friends from the game on gameamp.com has been the lifesaver for me. I hope you come back soon.
