Factions linked to multiple accounts ?

if a plyer has more than one account, can Factions be linked to both, or must i buy 2 copies of factions ?

i dont yet have a second, but i was considering it for various reasons

i realize the piracy implications, and dont think it likely .. but i was curious

Each single copy of Factions can be linked to one copy of Phrophecies...

No multi-linking.

You would have to buy a second Factions account if you wish to have 2 linked accounts =(

If you have multiple accounts then you will need to purchase multiple copies of factions. one for each account you have...

Ummmmm, you are saying I should be able to buy Factions, then link 300 of my accounts to it... I'd have like 1200 characters on one account. Or are you saying I could share my copy of the game with 50 friends, and they can all upgrade their original.

I can just imagine how happy all the big game expoliting sweatshops would be... they'd only have to purchase one factions for the 100 accounts they run.

It is a money making thing, yes... but would you rather pay monthly?

You get your new key...

Open the account you want to link and login... then go to Edit account, and Manage acces keys... insert your new key in there, and you've just successfully linked the games.

With multiple accounts, you'd have to repeat this for each account you want to link, and use an individual key each time, as one use makes it used.

If you are linking Guild Wars and Factions... the two standalone games effectively become one. So one login/email will give you access to 6 characters and two continents.

I have two accounts, so I will have two logins/emails which will both give me individual access to the above.

So I will have 12 characters in total, 4 sets of disks* (2 original, 2 factions), two accounts both with seperate logins and passwords.

One account is one account, you can link multiple individual campaigns to it, but you can't link accounts, as each has an individual login and password.

* actually 3 sets of disks, because one account was a key purchase only

EDIT: Linking the two games will give your current characters the ability to travel to Cantha, as well as the ability to bring your Canthan characters back to Tyria, and all the items they possess.

If you use your new key to create a new account, you will have two seperate gaming experiences. You'll have Guild Wars prophecies, and your 4 chracters will be stuck in Tyria - you'll then need to log out and login with a different account to play factions, and your 4 factions characters will be stuck in cantha.

Linking accounts is the best option in my opinion.

This is what the official Factions FAQ has to say

Each copy of a Guild Wars game furnishes you with an individual account. Therefore, if you have multiple accounts with which you wish to access both Guild Wars and Guild Wars Factions content, you will need one copy of Factions for each copy of Guild Wars that you own. The choice is yours, though, and you may have one account with access to both games, and a second account that accesses only one of the titles.

If you only use your second account as storage, as some people do... then, link Prophecies with Factions on your Primary account, and you can use this Account to travel back to Tyria and pass on any items to the Secondary storage account, without having to upgrade your second one.
