I was thinking, when Factions comes our many guilds on this site will need to ally with other guilds and form an alliance if they are to stand any chance in gaining strongholds in Cantha.
So I propose that the guilds of the people who visit Gameamp (for example [AMP], [TC], The mutants guild and others besides) should form a grand Gameamp alliance when Factions is released.
What do you guys think?

I would have no problem joining my guild with yours in the up coming factions game both me and my brother are in it and we pritty much run it. I think it is a good idea at least through game amp you can get to no some of the poeple in other guilds before you join them.

It's a really good idea but let's not count the chickens before they hatch. i'm sure ANet will impose some sort of alliance limitations to prevent alliances from becoming too powerful.

@ Nhil the guild limit to an alliance has been set at 10 guilds so it should be fine =)

I dunno.. i think that there is going to be more of a limit than just that. I mean what happens if the top 10 guilds form an alliance with one another?

To shed some light on the original Post.
Binarydumb [TC], Tribina [MU] and myself [AMP] have already agreed in principal to form an alliance. Due to circumstances we've not yet sat down and formed any concrete plans yet.
I for one would be interested in sharing members to some extend. I.e. secondary accounts in one of the other two Guilds, maybe form a mutual child-guild for PvP purposes and such.
Still, we'll have to wait and see how Alliances and Factions (the game system, not the Campaign) will work in effect first, I think.

From what I've read, they wouldn't be that powerful since they would be lacking on the pve side of the house. I know, every pvp player claims to be an expert at pve, but do they have the characters? (and for the record, I agree that pvp is a greater challange, for the most part.)

I only hope than when factions comes out there will be an all call for guilds that are faithful to this forum. I would hesitate to bring my guild into any allainace I think but one through Gameamp would definatly be one of my first choices. Count Deamonic Dreams in.

well iff their r goin 2 be gameamp guildformin can mine guild in? were just from the fresh with 7-8 active memberz :S a bith low but yeah these dayz every1 is IN a guild allrdy so were up and runnin for now iff your still intersted our name is Slayers Of The Dragons |SD| ranger mad dog but blackfire necro is runnin it *ma nephew* tell him off this post and he would rush for the place*
