55necro is it decent ?

yup. im thinking of turning my necro into a 55hp, before investing the large amount of money required to purchase vullum for the 15k armor req.. i would like to know, whether the 55 necro, is effective in soloing. because i hear all these conflicting views, some say 55hp necro is good other bad. can i get ure expert opinons.

imo a 55 nec is good not as smooth to operate as a 55 monk but still very effective, i run mine only when im bored as i have a 55 monk and my question for you is y would you make a 55 nec with 15k armor, thats a waste, imo because with a 55 build you could use the cheapest scars in game and still get the same energy as a 15k set, maybe a cheap set for 55 nec and a 15k set for everything else, i personally carry 4 sets of armor for my necro 3 sets with runes set up for each death/blood/curses all 1.5k droks and then my scars for my 55. this is all just my opinion but there you go

you do use ss as your damage dealer order of the lich just helps lower your life down by 1/2 making it more effective of a build

I have a friend that has a 55 monk and a 55 necro, he says he likes the 55 necro better. He uses tattoo armor from droks.

I have a 55 Necro and I recommend it, very fun to play. It can solo parts of UW and FoW, but this is very hard. The build takes practice as you have to time things very precisely. In my experience it has a harder time staying alive than a 55 Monk because spells like Healing Breeze are not as effective on a monk secondary. But for simple farming such as Griffons, Hydras, Sand Drakes, Trolls, it is a great build. You can make a good deal of money by farming with it. I would have to agree, don't get 15k scars, it's not worth it for farming. I have 15k Bonelace for everything else, I don't go for flashy looks while farming. I'd just go with 1.5k Scars. Also, Aura of the Lich can come in handy, but is not necessary (and won't fit with SS).

My build is:

Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Spiteful Spirit
Shadow of Fear
Guardian
Essense Bond
Balthazars Aura
Mending

Also, if you are worried about lowering your health to make your build more effective, just kill yourself and remove the -50HP Cesta. You then have 33 HP.

yea i feel dumb, was half asleep when posting, sorry but yes ss is used for damage, and aura can drop you down to 33 hp i guess its up to you if you wanna do it fast with ss for damage or more stablity for lich

I prefer better the Monk as a primary. I can change between Mesmer and Necro whatever i want to farm different places.

Te pros for being a Monk as a primary are:
Divine favor (Spellbreaker, blessed aura, blessed signet...)
Can farm almost anything without problems.
Healing Spells more effective.

Pros os being a Necro as a secondary:
More dmg of Spitefull Spirit.
Cheaper than a Monk.

To farm with necro, trolls or UW (i cant say Fow i havent go there with 55 build) its really difficult. They will interrupt your SS or Suffering, making the killing to take a lot of time. In those cases, the extra dmg doesnt help much does it?

I recommend the Monk better, because you can use different builds, and with necro you always need to be Monk as a secondary profession.

Healing 14 (can be 13, while farming easy targets as hydras or griffons)

thanks, guys. for the advice, made by frist uw smite run with my necro today. took a while, waste 4k before i finally got to the smites. sigh. no ecto.

I use the 55 necro to farm titans in DNKP. It would be harder with a 55 monk since most of the attacks are spells and wouldn't trigger SoJ. I actually feel that 55 Necro is easier than 55 monk just because Spiteful Spirit can kill more things than SoJ can.

because you take 10% damage due to prot spirit, 10% or 55 is 5 (through the calculation), 10% of 33 is 3 (does this have with lich? havnt tried), so you take less damage, meaning you can take more agro cos your being healed from healing breeze all the time.

well i dont have a 55 nec but i got a 55 monk and if u cant find out if 55 necros are good well y even bother asking other ppl u dont run ur build the same and every 55 monk i c runs it diffrently but some what the same i use LA armour on my 55 monk and it does fine so for ur nec u could even get tht just my monk uses prot spirit sooo it makes me take less dmg (very nice) thats what i would do but thats not u im me u are u soooo have fun and good luck with ur nec (if u do 55 nec) orrr what evea ^^

I have a 55 hit point necro,Just a quick question.I am trying to farm caves in forge, and I can clear it out except for the 2 bosses is there a skill i can use to beat them 1on1 cause when try to get them both together they wont go
My skill set is as followed

1 healing breeze
2 protective spirt
3 spitefull spirt
4 suffering
5 shadow of fear
6 esence bond
7 bal spirt
8 mending

If u can help me out that be great :-)
