OK, I got my lvl 42 scrapper (claw regen) I have had a lot of fun with him. But recently I made a dark/dark scrapper...MAN HE IS COOL! I'm addicted to him! So addicted that I got him from 1 to 20 in 3 days! but...I want to unlock Warshades and Peacebringers. I made this deal with myself that I gotta lvl my main to 50 before March Break...but the new toon didn't let me.
So any of you guys got any tips for lvling from 42 to 50 real fast? I don't care if I start doing bridges from 45+...I just want to get this toon to 50...work with my dark/dark and perhaps make a warshade.
Any tips are appericiated...I'm in a huge moral dilemma!

Grit your teeth, gird up your loins & kiss your Dark/Dark goodbye for about a month. Concentrate on your Claws/Regen Scrapper every time you log on......RESIST THE TEMTATION OF YOUR ALT!
You have a long grind ahead & nobody is going to do it for you, (unless you've got a really neat girlfriend who will play for you while you deal with real life).
Try getting on large teams, thats where you get the best exp. Once you get past 45 maybe you can do a little bridgeing, but it won't be as good as the fabled "good-old-days" when the all-mighty Fire Tanks strode the earth.
Pay close attention to missions like Infernal & try to avoid them if you are with an inept team, these can be a real debt-machine with inexperienced teams. I can always find an excuse to log when I see "Let"s do Mikeys Infernal mish" pop up in the Chat window.
If you just "have" to have your Dark/Dark fix, set aside one night a week to play your Alt. Diciplin is the key, set your mind to it & you'll be flying around upchucking inky Squid goo on the Baddies before you know it.......

But yah...thnx for tips. I've heard many ppl say 'I got to 50 in 5 months by just soloing'. What do you guys say on that?
And btw...what is the real name for the 'squid goo'?

I got my Robot/Poison MM to lvl 40 in about 7 weeks soloing & am straining at the bit waiting for issue 7. Figure I can hit 50 in about 5-6 weeks if I skip sleeping & Bio breaks.......want my.......winged.......badguy..........
WS Squid dark goo falls under "Umbral Blast"
PB Squid Glowie goo falls under "Luminous Blast"
I got a lvl 46 PB, need to get her to 50 so I can play my Warshades, (got 3 around the 17-18 level).
My opinion is the PB is the more powerful of the two, but I won't really know till I get both kinds of critters to lvl 50...........

But can you give me some tips on how and where to solo?
Also, I was thinking letting go of the Claw/Regen and playing with my dark/dark:
More Fun + More Damage + More Defense = More XP = Faster LVLing!
Today I just stood in striga with my dark/dark with some of his toggles on (Cloak of Darkness and Death Shroud being mandetory). I went right in the middle of the same lvl mob...big one too. And I just stoof in the middle...no punching no nothing...just the damage from 6 slotted death shroud (3 dmg and 3 acc) And they just all died really fast!
So what do you think? If we say I hit 50 with claw it would take X days...will it take my dark/dark X + 1 or two months or X + FOREVER to hit 50?
Sorry I'm just into mathematics!

Ya know its nice to have goals but I am going to, sidestep this whole mathematics thing for a moment and go right straight to the point...
The point being this, This is a Game, for some of us its more like life but trust me if it came down to it we would eat rather than starve (unless your grifter, he is having a dilemna right now and i have a fear that his wrath will be unleashed soon, call it a hunch), my point? Games are meant to have fun, so you now face the only choice in the game..With which toon do I have the most fun?
When you answer this your answer to which to play will be answered.

And also to all the gameampers here at gameamp whom without I would never have made it.

Don't sweat the trip to 50, but if you want the xp do Task Forces or Archvillain Teams...those always get good xp/influence.

There is another way to lvl fast besides what everyone else has told you. First of all you need to have super speed and perhaps stealth so if you don't, consider a respec.
Now what you do is complete your missions as fast as possible. If it's a recover item mish, for instance, you super speed your way to that item and recover it. Typically you may need to clear that room only to finish mish. If you spend time trying to clear all of the baddies in the missions then you are actually slowing your lvl'ing down. The mission reward xp itself is worth more then slowly beating on a bunch of minions.
Nogame wrote a guide on this method and has it posted on the CoV site. He made lvl 1-40 in 29 days using this method. Go check it out.

This is pretty much the way we do it. The AV's are pretty much the best because yout get the AV bonus and the mission bonus. Find yourself a team that's clearing them out. There's plenty of badge junkies out there that want Portal Jockey and they are mowing a path to the AV, taking them out, meeting whatever other requirements involved like glowies ant then jetting to the next one.
Now, depending on the mobs you are fighting. This may not be the fastest exp, even though it might seem so. If you have any missions with Wolves, Warriors, Council etc...... Clean house. Don't spend 30 minutes to find the very last mob, but get as many of them as you can. Try to clear the mish. On a large team, there is a lot of experience to be had in those mobs.
As for soloing...... You're a Regen. PI is your playground. There are Bosses galore to hunt. Don't sweat the large groups of minions unless you have a fast way to dispatch oranges and reds. Go Boss killing crazy. You should be pretty uber coming into the 40's where a lot of us squishy types start looking for a good team for safety. PI is loaded with duo mobs that just have 2 Warhulks or a Warhulk and a Fakie. They were the fastest exp when I was soloing my Troller through the 40's. There are plenty of Rikti bosses that like to sit around basically solo that you can mow through quickly. Just keep some break free's handy for the Chief Mentalists.

Hey, just have fun, ok? I have a zillion alts, and one guy that is 46. One day you'll come back to your main, but the game is made to have fun and if you're currently having fun like crazy playing your alt, then play away!
On a side note... is regen BAD? I mean, I have a BS/Regen, and he's great on offence but just get's by on defence ok. He's based off of Michael the Archangel, so "dark" wouldn't really go with the them.
How do you play your guy? Let me know if you get the chance. Regen is so different then anything I've ever played. Fire tanks have great resistance, my dark armor brute has great resistance, but regen... it's like it's resistance in one way and like it's not in another. Help me out with tips if you can.

Yah...I'm having fun like crazy with this toon. And infact...I think I can get to 50 with him pretty fast.
Now...as for you IcyHot...I'm not a pro. But many people have liked my style of playing and I personally finished a whole tf starting with 7 ppl and end it with 3 ppl...a helaer...and 2 claw/regens!
OK, regen is all about strategy and right timing. You gotta turn your toggles on only when you need 'em. Regen is one of the only sets that makes End the least of your worries (Stamina and Quick Recovery 3 slotted!) Use Dull Pain and Instant Healing for big mobs. IH and DP are not 'OH CRAP!' powers (some good old friend taught me these ;D ) Your only Oh CRAP power is Moment of Glory. To me, MoG is THE most exciting power in the game...gives you chunks of excitement everytime you get hit (it's like weed!) sometimes I use it just for the heck of it. But yah...Regen's style of playing differs with primary sets. For my claws I always have stealth and Integration on. If you still have more questions about this, feel free to PM me...I don't wanna go off-topic here.
And someone mentioned something about a Guide by NoGame in CoV (hitting 40 in 29 days). Can someone give me a link for that?
