RE: Defend Droknars

Basically the same tactics as anywhere work. You just have to be patient, watch patrols, and no aggro more than one group at a time. Also, take a page from hell's precipice and kill the little ones first; first Hearts, then Malices, then Darks, then Brutes, and finally Frost Titans.

Another fun tactic is to have a warrior with a bow and a run skill go to a group of Avicara, aggro them with the bow, to to a group of Titans, aggro THEM with the bow, wait until the two groups would be within each other's aggro circles, then use the speed boost to run away. The two groups will destroy one another fairly efficiently (it's fun to take bets on who the winner will be; it's about 50/50 Avicara/Titan split).

In general, though, you want a group with 2-3 monks, 1-2 elementalists, 1-2 tanks, and the other slots optional between a Necromancer, Mesmer, and Ranger (in no particular order).

Note that I did this quest the first time with henchmen on my warrior. It's challenging, but if you're careful and don't rush, you'll be fine.

RE: Defend Droknars

Too lazy, that's funny. I jumped all over this quest when I first saw it. It's fun, but I do admit, it's totally out of the way, so I can see being too lazy to travel to it. It's fun though. Just watch the argo/patrols as was all ready mentioned. I think the first time I beat this I did so with a 60% dp and all henchies, so don't get discouraged. I recommend using henchies or guildies/friends. You never know with pick up groups is people are going to drop out after a single death. And it's a long way to return with a new team.
