Burning Crusades Info/Rumours

I will start this topic off by listing the confirmed facts.

Level cap raised to 70 plus 10 more talent points.
Flying Mounts.
takes place in the Outland.
Blood Elves are the new Horde race.
Jewel crafting and socketed items.
New Starting zones.
three portals to other worlds introduced.
New High level dungeons:

* Karazhan in Deadwind Pass
* Caverns of Time in Tanaris, a natural labyrinth, with portals leading to different eras in Azeroth's past, protected by ancient Bronze Dragonflights. Opening each of these Portals will be World Events (Source: Febuary PC Gamer)
o Thrall's Escape from Durnholde Keep -- In this wing of the instance you must assist Thrall in escaping from Durnholde Keep where he has been captured by Aedelas Blackmoore.
o Opening of the Dark Portal -- In this wing you must protect Medivh as he opens the Dark Portal in the Black Morass
o The Battle of Mount Hyjal -- In this Epic Raid wing players must band together to defend the World tree. Battling out with the Demon Lord Archimonde and his Burning Legion Forces.
o The Battle of Hellfire Peninsula -- While still in planning stages this is said to be a PvP Battleground where Horde and Alliance battle it out on Draenor.
* Zul'Aman bordering Eversong Forest and Ghostlands
* Hellfire Citadel in Hellfire Peninsula
* Unnamed Lady Vashj Instance (rumored to be in Zangor Marsh)
* Auchindoun in Bone Wastes
* Tempest Keep in Netherstorm
* Black Citadel

Now it's time for the rumours lol that's the fun part after all.

I say Dranaei are the new alliance race and I'm sticking with them until blizzard says otherwise or you lot can convince me otherwise.

You heard wrong. Pandareans were dropped as an idea, because of their importence to China. Blizzard thought it may come off as a slap in the face to some chinese.

Ok so then it will be the Draenai? Who are they? I have played Warcraft III myself and someone told me that they were in that but I honestly can not remember who they are.

I highly doubt it will be Dranaei because it will just be far too hard to put armor models and weapons on them.

The Draenei are one of the three primary races native to Draenor, the others being the Orcs and the Ogres. They once populated the planet heavily, but were slaughtered by the Orcs shortly after their corruption by the Warlock Gul'dan.

After the Dark Portal was destroyed, Draenor collapsed in on itself and what remained was a sundered mass of planetary debris and floating asteroids, hovering in stasis within the Twisting Nether. The regions of Draenor that are still habitable are now known as Outland. Draenor wasn't the only thing to change in this ordeal, as the Draenei were also sundered in the process. They were formerly very human-looking, with fair greenish skin, but the irradiation of the collapsing energies of the Dark Portal and the sundering of their world mutated them into the aged, weathered creatures they are today.

They were thought to have become extinct after their genocide by the orcs, but Illidan and his forces discovered and liberated one of the last surviving Draenei villages in Outland. They are known for being great spies and assassins as their warriors can Shadowmeld at all times of day, even while moving. They are currently ruled by Akama, the Elder Sage, and are allied with Illidan's Naga and Blood Elves.

The Draenei are consumed by an unquenchable bloodlust whenever they know Orcs are near, as they are bitter enemies.

A small band of Draenei were led through the Dark Portal by a few unknown leaders with the hopes of finding a new life, and have settled in the Swamp of Sorrows. Unfortunately, most of them were driven mad due to homesickness, and now attack anyone and everyone on sight. The few sane ones that remain are led by Magtoor, and they remember their noble roots and survive in the swamp in opposition of their mad brethren. The mad Draenei are called "The Lost Ones" in memory of their old homeworld.

A note: Some rumors state that a faction of Draenei are in the process of joining the Alliance. At the time of this writing, this can be neither confirmed nor denied.

I wonder what the new epic (maybe legendary?) armor sets will be. There doesn't seem to be any point in trying to get a Cenarion Rainment set for my druid if it will be eclipsed by something better. Of course, will I still be able to do an impression of a shrub with any of the new armor sets?

And I'm pulling for the Dranei. Dranei Paladin to be precise. Plate wearing wrinkled, furry monsters would be fun.

Heh I think anyone who has come across the dranaei info that is spreading like wildfire through all the major wow communities, has converted. Except for those pandarean freaks lol, they just won't give up.

As far as armor's I haven't heard anything, though I think I'll go do some research and see if I can dig anything up.

I admit that Murloc r teh suck... but the alliance already have pretty characters... It's time to give them a one armed monkey with down syndrome...

This post in no way endorses making fun of one armed monkies and/or down syndrome. It's just time to give the alliance something beside EzMode toons like any paladin.

I will lay the Gnome idea to rest, RIGHT NOW.... As a troll hunter, there is NOTHING more annoying than getting ganked in WSG by a stealthed Gnome Rogue. Besides, although disturbingly small, the Gnome is not an ugly race. Look at us. Tauren are supposed to be majestic, nature loving beings, but since they are ugly... Horde get them. WoW:BC gives us the hot, hot....hot, hot...hot Blood Elf. I say... ABOUT FRICKIN' TIME!!!!

This might be a stupid question, but I'm wondering, is Burning Crusade going to be a free update that everyone will download automatically the day of release, or is it an actual box expansion that will need to be purchased?

From everything I've read, it seems like it's going to be a to buy box expansion, but most other MMO's I've played, the expansions are free updates so I'm a little curious about this.

I haven't had any good ideas lately, which forced me into despair, but I remembered I got tons of ideas from you guys! So yeah, not to be mean, but I'm using you...DEAL WITH IT!!! J/k! (==)
