Is it possible to match the color of the team symbols to the color of the team skins?

If you mean the logos at the top of the HUD in tdm/ctf/ons/etc., then yeah, it would be possible, and could be implemented in a future version.
If you mean the big team logos on the ESC menu, it's definitely not worth it.
