I read something on this site about Items of Power and how to get them, but I keep hearing that they aren't in the game yet. Can someone shed some light on this for me please, that way I don't waste my time prepping my base right away for them. Thanks

They are not yet in the game. They should be coming in issue 7 which should be out in April hopefully. If you go on the test server you can start a SG with 36 million prestige and mess around with the base and the Items of Power(IoP). I'm not sure if the IoP mission is on the test server yet though.

Can someone tell me wat items of power are wat tehy do. do they help with raids or something

Items of Power are what base raids will be centered around. Your SG/VG will have the option to do SG/VG SFs, and when completed, you will receive an item of power. By obtaining this item, your base will then be in jeopardy of being raided.
If i'm not mistaken (i might be confusing several things now), an item of power will also enhance your SG/VG (buffs, etc.).
Someone correct me if i'm wrong about that second statement.

Yes they give small increases to SG members in SG mode (at least in beta you had to be in SG mode). We had 2 in beta and one was like a 1% XP bonus and the other like 1% to damage. Nothing major, I think they are more for raiding then any serious buffing, dont get me wrong though, every little bit helps. There was also one that i think aided in debt payback and one for to hit if i remember right. All seemed to be like 1-2%.
