I saw some guy spamming he had a new 55 warrior build for farming trolls. He showed me and he killed the trolls in about 1 minute instead of 3-5. Does anybody know this build? (he said it was a secret he was selling for 50k which of course refused)

Why didn't you just click him, and see what skills he uses... ?
I mean if he's a 55, then the core skills will be the same, he'll then just use Cyclone and SoJ etc for damage.

i've never heard of such a build before..Then again i don't farm. Are you sure he was using a 55 warrior and did he prove it by clicking on himself and showing his HP? Because really i dont see a point in making a 55 warrior since you are just a low energy monk at that point..I think it's a scam but i could be wrong..Also you could have seen his skills by dying and watching him fight :P

well I was farming with him and I had the bottom part of the cave and he had the top(weird spawn). I dont really know anything about 55ing so if thats what he used thank you for posting.

Personally i just dont see the point of him using a 55 warrior build.. He just becomes a 55 monk with low energy at that point so why he would lower his health makes no sense.. I don't think there are any special skills that exist that give you more power if your max health is really low..

This is what I would use:
Cylclone
Bonetti's
SoJ
Healing Breeze
Prot Spirit
Mending
Balth's Spirit
Essence Bond
Healing 9
Smiting 12
Prot 8
The rest I would put in Axe, and a little in Tactics, and Strength. But with the superiors, that shouldn't be a problem.
As long as you have enough for your Axe, you'll be doing Damage as usual with SoJ, but 20-30 per hit with Cyclone.
And energy should,'t be a problem with +2 energy gain per hit, and a spammed bonetti's.

Now that i think about it it makes more sense as a scam than not. Check this out:
He spends 30k on all sup runes but he only needs 1 sup healing and 1 sup smiting and the rest are low cost warrior runes right?
Then he uses the 55 monk build.
Then he charges you for the build and you pay him 50k (20k profit + farming profit)
Oh and the reason it took less time was because you were helping him :P

Yeah, wth? why? If armor doesn't matter, then why a warrior? I would guess that maybe he uses Warrior's Endurance or Bonetti's. And if he is killing them faster than a monk, then he can't be using SoJ, since a monk can go above 12 in smiting.
I'm guessing Strength of Honor or something+Cyclone Axe. It's a difficult build to do, seeing as you'd have energy degen, but it might be possible. But Cyclone Axe definately.

I might try this actually. I have a PvE W, but no PvE Mo, and I don't have the character slots to make one. I usually don't farm, except to see if I can. After I learn how to farm something, typically up to an hour then I'm bored and never do it again (unless I try with a different class/build). But it is fun to "see if you can".
He's certainly over-valuing his "build secret" though.
PS - I've figured out farming builds for Mesmers and Elementalists too (my other two PvE chars). They aren't as effective, but I can still handle a decent number if I build just for it and choose my "crop".

too bad you cant use monk runes on a warrior, and all warrior sup runes would cost you about 1-10k
it is a scam, and you might as well just go old school griffon farming build.

Some people use this, it's just a rather weak 55 monk for those that don't have a monk character.
And as for him killing them in a minute, a standard 55 monk build for those Trolls can get them all in 35 seconds.

btw in the first post u said 55 monking usually takes 3-5 mins to farm a group??? Man whoever takes that long must have a 10 second SoJ with an extra long recharge :P
Usually only takes 1 SoJ and a few Zealots Spamming to finish em off.. (before they scatter)well thats wat i do.

it takes me 1-2min tops to get from droks, to round them up, then kill them with my monk... plus, monks just look soooo much cooler taking on like 40 people that the warriors do...

i was playing in the random arenas this morning and saw this 55 warrior build. there was this one warrior that no matter what attack i used or sword i only hit him for 5 damage, it was quite annoying

SoJ=15 energy.... 20-5=5??? no this build is redicolous there is no way hes a complete dumbass... energy charge =+2? there is no way you can cast HB and SoJ without waiting 2 minutes for the energy.

I doubt it's as effective as a 55 monk build, but yes, it could be done. The real "core" skills for a 55 build that are shared across all of them are Balthazar's Spirit, Healing Breeze, and Protective Spirit, so he WOULD have enough energy (Balth's Spirit alone produces more than enough energy for the build to function). He would just have to deal with other skills as well. I'd guess he took Shield of Judgement, Bonetti's Defense, Cyclone Axe, Mending, and Orison of Healing or maybe Reversal of Fortune.
And if it took him a minute to clear the trolls, it's not a very efficient build. A 55 monk build can clear a group of trolls in about 30 seconds (usually a bit less). And I'd say that a 55 war build would be much riskier than simply using the old-school griffon farming builds to troll farm; much less chance of killing too many and having insufficient energy production to handle the last couple.

My friend and i's build kills them all in 25(probably less) seconds. We have our SoJ lasting 30 seconds, and all the trolls are dead before SoJ ends. :)

twitchdip i have seen u post several times and almost all of them have been rude and/or offensive towards somone who has an opinion or their own idea and u say no every time ither by insulting them or callingthem a noob, idiot ect. i think that by doing so YOU are the noob and i dont appreciate you badmouthing others because you jsut dont like what they had to say. please try to refrain from doing so as it dirties the foruums and is annoying

The worst thing about trolls is that they can interrupt, and if they somehow manage to interupt PS, then I die. But then again, after i die, i take less damage and have more energy so its all good :)

Ok, I didn't use this, but I did a W/Mo with 6 maintained spells and i had WAY more enough energy (and adrenaline) than needed. Have the right skills and enough opponents, and energy won't be your problem. About 1 second to go from 2 to 24 energy... and the only time i'd get that low is when I'm running around trying to round up more (in other words, not getting attacked).

he's probably using protective bond, essence bond, mending, balths aura, cyclone axe (with a zealots mod), and Bonettis ...
yes it will have heavy energy degen, but when stuff is attacking you, you should be able to keep up to it with your cyclone axe and bonettis :) just an idea

Oh, I don't care if you guys know what I use. Builds should be shared, not horded. And you should feel free to put your own spin on any build if you have fun doing it. It's basically all the maintained skills I have unlocked for my W/R (R is main secondary, but I switch secondaries to W/Mo). It's cyclone, bonneties, retribution, strength of honor, balthazars spirit, live vicariously, mending, watchful spirit. No reason for essence bond, my energy is through the roof. Once you get them all up, you won't be interupted. The most I've taken on at once is 19 trolls (one being a warrior boss). Usually it's more like 12 though (you have to be lucky in how many spawn close together and that you don't get stuck before you can round them all up). It's slower though, takes about 5-10 minutes per run. That's for starting in Droknars, running to the cave, killing the trolls, mapping back, managing your new inventory, and being ready to go out again. I haven't timed just killing the trolls... probably just under 5 minutes. I had my fun with it, but I think I'll move on now (I have a very low farming tollerance). The good thing about this build is... no special gear required (I don't know what the zealots mod is, but I'm using a Furios Chaos axe of fortitude, +21 health, 4% double adrenaline... but any axe should do).
