| How many band geeks do we have here? |

Just curious to know how many of you play or played in band in school?
I'll start off by saying that I was a band geek. My instrument - the tuba. :)

i play the guitar. i'm actualy performing with it for the first time fairly soon.
other than that, just "private" concerts for those who come over to our house and beg...

They made us in 6th grade :(. It was a nightmare and i never touched and instrument since then.

Played the Trumpet from 5th - 10th grade. Kinda lost interest. But I suppose Jazz Band was kind of cool.

I was a Band Geek. ^^ Since the 5th grade I was a percussionist. In middle school, I was in the High School marching band. I was in the drumline during the marching season. And during off season, I played all the percussion instruments, even wrote alot of stuff. I also can play the Violin, Viola, Piano, French Horn, and Flute. ^^

I play the electric/Acoustic guitar and will hopefully be performing soon. I know all Van Halen Songs and people are always impressed in what i can do.

iv played the guitar for many years now, both acoustic and electric, electric more so.. can play pretty much all Metallica songs and solos :)
Im also currently learning to play the Saxaphone.. amazing sounding intrument!!

Piano- Free time, though I mainly play piano versions of songs from FFVII

not in a band at the moment, but i do play Electric Bass, just got a SWR Red-Head combo for larger places, but use an Eden Nemisis 210 for most things. it makes the G&L SB2 sound the best. :) i'd go for some vintage amps and basses but i cant afford that right now, but a 63 Jazz bass would be awesome, along with an old Bassman. tubes rule ;)

I played Percussion (Drum Full Kit, bongos and various other instruments) for my first couple of years in High School xD

Wow congratulations guys on your musical talents. Musically... I suck. Well actually I suck at playing instruments but im getting ready to buy an acoustic guitar off a neighbor because I have always wanted to know how to play a guitar I can sing okay though. I was never in choir or anything in school so teaching myself how to sing is kinda wierd without instructions.

Wow thats cool. the FFVII soundtrack was performed by a symphony orchestra so you must be quite the acomplished piano player. Wish I could say I knew how to play this soundtrack on a piano.

Yeah, I'm one. Actually, brass instruments in general are sort of 'my thing', although the tuba is my current obsession. I'm off to college this fall, and I know what I'll be doing even more of! (Frighteningly Obvious Hint: playing the tuba!)

i play 77 Les Paul Deluxe and some MiJ fender reissues, the 77 needed a new pick guard and the guy before me didnt have the original case and had it in a gig bag. it kicks a lot of ass.

sad to say i played the piccalo and the REAL now i said REAL orcana or how ever u spell it(from zelda game and is a ACTUAL instrument(had to have private lessons for it))

I have a black Fender Strat, but i dont play it very often.
Then i got my Jackson RR3 (blue - flying v) which is a cool looking axe! i got this one for the use of the trem bridge.
A black Epiphone Flying V (i like my V's) which is a fantastic guitar, its got weight to it, the sound resonates really nicely, and it looks cool :) the only down side is that its a little top heavy and tilts if you dont hold the neck up! but i still love it as much as a Gibson!
Then lastly iv got my Black ESP Eclipse.. (Les Paul shape) almost the same as the James Hetfield signiture version but without the design on it..
I love guitars...!!! and seems like i like black guitars :P!!

I got a nice Band; i am the Guitarist and i've been doing this for more as 3 years now and learned pretty much and i'm writing my own songs for my band. Thee hee; 3 of my band members play GW as well!
If you wanna know my bands name...
It's BLONT! xD yay whe definetely are gonna have more concerts n stuff coming up!

Lemme give you the list: Flute, guitar, drums, pan pipes, voice (baritone), a little bit of keyboard, all of which were self-taught except for the flute. Next I'm hoping to learn to compile techno-ish songs, or learn an instrument like maybe the digeridoo.

I was in band from 6th grade all the way up to graduation. Was in the Jazz, Orchestra, and Marching bands. My insterment of choice was the Trumpet, but could also play: Saxaphone, Flute, Tuba, Trombone, and the Clarinet. Wanna talk about being a band geek....I was that geek. I still play my Trumpet every now and again, but not often.
