| omg! im getting bored from guild wars |

dam... im kinda bored of guild wars and don't know what to do
( currently im waiting for factions :P ) i have played more then 820 hours but now i don't know what to do
i have tried the following things but it gets bored quiqkly to
fame farm ( can't get in an team )
capture elite's ( got al the good ones already )
do missions ( completed al except monk )
get money ( its to hard to earn money these days )
plz can someone give advise what could do until faction is released ( taking an break from guild wars is impossible )

have you tried pvp or gvg it is probably the best part about the game.

what i've been doing on my ele is trying to get every single mission, bonus AND quest.
i've done all missions and bonuses already, and i have 6 quests left to do.

I know exactly what ya mean, I tried to get into PvP more but U cant get anywhere without a rank these days. I feel guilty as Im the leader of quite a big guild and ive become increasingly inactive over the past few weeks, atleast I can help new members and stuff but I can see what you mean about getting bored from it...

thats the problem : my guild is not very active so no gvg
and pvp : used al my 4 slots so i can use my rpg chars only and i earned more then 81,000 balthazr faction and im getting sick of keep doing the same 4 vs 4 fights
( those allience battles own! )
maybe i should delete my monk cuz im not doing anything with it anymore

you have the same prob as me ( im guild leader to )
and since i only got 44 fame ( shame on me ) , i can't join a 'normal' team that doesnt leave if we have 1 more dead person than the other team
but still thx for the advices all

u dont need to make a new character to go to the team and random arenas for pvp. just travel there by the ship on the map screen.

my advice would be to get into a guild that does HA, GvG, etc. I had no fame because HA never really interested me, but I started doing it, and they don't care that I don't have a r3 emote, they just care that I'm a good player. I already am at rank 1 after just 1 day of playing with them.

i got 5 characters, that between helping newer guildies do all their stuff, i go and tidy up undone quests... you just think your finished, you walk into a town you havent been in for a while, and boom, a bubble over a head, 'damn, another lvl 12 quest i missed'
have you done all the titan quests on all your characters?

I feel your pain. I have 5 lvl 20's and workin on my 6th character (shutdown mesmer/necro) im bored, but I have nothing else to do. So I farm mindlessly as I just burn time up. Gets me some decent money though. Also I have been catching up on missions on my other characters. But that gets old also after a while, you can only do the missions soo many times b4 they get really really boring.

I am with you guys. That is why I went out and rented resident evil 4 and Ghost Recont for ps2.
I also have age of empire 3 which I am thinking of installing it and play it.

Please dont hate me too much for saying this but: Yea i got really bored i tried pvp non-organized(no vent)and that was not fun. And once you beat the game its all about money do SF runs to get good drops to sell, u do UW or FOW to get good drops to sell, and u do UW2 to get goood greens to sell. So then about 3-4 weeks ago i finally beat the RoF missions on my warrior and reached 100k in storage, so I went out to the store and bought WoW and I have to say one of the best decisions I could have ever made. IF PvP doesnt interest you then this game will be short-lived.

My first account has over 2000 hours on it, I dont enjoy PvP but I love this game and have never lost interest in it. First time I finished the game I started farming, but that got boring fast so to keep myself entertained I went around with my monk and capped every single elite skill for all professions, next step is taking a little longer but im nearly finished on getting every single skill available for my monk.
Mostly now to have some fun I go around helping out random people, to some this may not seem like much enjoyment, but you do get a good feeling when you complete THK or Hells for the 50th time.
Right now I am working on a new character my Necro, it was fun being a MM as my monk so I thought why not try out the real deal.
TBH I dont think I will ever get "bored" of Guild Wars, I might find a time when I decide to take a break for a month, but I dont see that happening in the near future.

Play Final Fantasy VII & X or Fable: The Lost Chapters, those will keep you busy until Guild Wars: Factions is released. Personally I am looking forward to World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade more than Factions...

Nobody is going to hate you :P lol i too play world of warcraft and i have to say it is one of the best games that i have ever played. As far as comparing it to guildwars GuildWars has awesome graphics, which are more akin to real life, yet the World in WOW is so much bigger (so it should be for the monthly fee) that i cant see anybody having the same problem as The people above are having, boredom of the game. At lvl 60 in WoW (the highest level) any experience you get from completing a quest is now covnerted into a percentage of Gold, not to mention the awesome battlegrounds and instances that you can undertake.
Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love GuildWars, because i am a fan of ancient history and what is guildwars other than medieval mythology ;). however It is a MUCH SMALLER game compared to WOW i believe because of the lack of monthly fee. Blizzard can afford to create this massive game ALA 6,000,000 plus subscribers. this = ALOT OF FRIGGEN MONEY PER CALENDAR MONTH. :P
World of Warcraft is a completely different game, and is enjoyed on different levels.

They are two entirely different games offering different things to different people.
As far as getting bored of guildwars sure i have played over 600hours + which makes me a noob compared to some people on this site :P however i have never tired of mutulating those cave trolls or watching brohn fall in battle and give me his staff as a "going away present"
I balance my time between the two games and i love it =)

I can only say one thing, a good guild will keep you entertained for close to...for ever. I thought i was getting borred of GW once, but then I found DUM. Never been bored since. My tips for boredom...PvP, PvP, PvP and oh yea, PvP. Make sure the people are good though, or else its not much fun =(

Take a break man. I am right now and it feels kind of good. Find something else to occupy thenormal guild wars time and just step away from it for a bit.
Then you'll come back to realise you wanted to do a couple more things. I'd say give that shot if not then there is always seeing what rediculous things you can do in game.
for example start a giant Conga line!
