SR build powers

Hi im starting a MA/SR and looking through im under the impression i have to take all of the secondaries to make SR really good. From the MA i was going to take Storm kick, Cobra strike, Focus Chi, Crane kick, Dragons tail, Eagles Claw.

I was then going to take the fitness pool and fighting pools for stamina and weave respectively. If ive worked this all out correctly that leaves me only 2 powers left pre-epic which will be my travel power- SJ or SS.

Are there any probs with this build? As a MA/SR is an epic a good idea or would it be better to use the 3 slots for other powers? Honestly id rather if i could take SS and SJ but if not which would you take? Any advice greatly appreciated.

SR is one power set that I can say, in my opinion, you need to take every secondary. Don't underestimate the power of the passives either. Just a friendly tip there.

I'd say we'd need a MA specialist on this one. I play a Katana.

Stamina pool has been my best friend as a Scrapper. It's kept me in the long haul for the battle. Good choice. As for the Fighting pool, I took it for tough and weave back when SR took it's BIG hit in defense. At that time I only noticed a marginal increase of its effectiveness. As it stands right now, Weave offers a 3.3%(unslotted) increase to Melee and ranged attacks (smashing/lethal defense) unslotted. Combat Jumping offers 2.5%(unslotted) increase across the board with the exception of psionic and AoE damage. I'll let you choose there, but I went with CJ and onto SJ. Tough does add 11%(unslotted) resistance and is something I would reccommend on Resistance based Power sets.

As for Epic power pools, I went after Body Mastery. Focused Accuracy has been most awesome when it comes to fighting AVs and Monsters and Conserve Power helps a lot with the crash after Elude has ran its toll. One Inspiration and Conserve power means your back in the fight fairly fast.

Hope the information helped you out some and good luck with your SR!

I'm not quite sure Gameamp logged me out after submitting the info there... but that was my post above. Go figure.

hmm if weave is only 3.3% is it maybe better to leave weave and get another power instead? What pool powers have you picked?

I took the concealment pool, but I'm respecing out of it once I7 hits. I'll have no use for the anti-stalker build anymore. The leaping pool for my travel power, and Fitness. I also took more of my primary attacks so I had less to choose from the power pool.

Hasten is a good choice for high damage over time. Just be careful you don't run yourself out of endurance. Using Conserve power with hasten is a good combo to stop that.

Anything else in the first tier of powers I would say is going to be situational. For teaming, I'd suggest recall friend. Especially if you have SJ. You'll be the first in line at the mission. At least from my experiences. So it'll all up to you there. Have a blast and play with some different things until you find something you like.
