I managed to get access to the main DDO web page.Im not really happy with what I see.
Alot of bickering to begen with.Also some other things concern me ,lack of game content,uproar caused by first patch and loot system,the lack of pvp (even though I like how they dont have pvp for reasons like ballance nerf etc)
Though I am happy with the game amp comunity in general so Ive aimed my eye at COV (for now).
I will still check in every now and then to see how stuff changes cuz (because) Id still really like to play DDO.
Till then, Good hunting all.

Please don't make your decision on the game based on the official forums. All official forums are like the DDO one. Where you have a lot of people complaining about everything, and maybe one post about the good things in the game on every page.
One of the main reasons I got hooked on gameamp was the forums were a place I could actually talk about the game and not fear flaming, or trolling, or any of the other stuff found on the official forums.
But if you do decide to go CoV, our CoV site is full of a nice community of people who would be more than happy to answer all your questions.

Well CoV is a good game, I came from the CoH CoV side of things. The main DDO forums are just a bunch of whiners and flamers, I've never seen a forum that bad... It really isn't representative of the in game community and for the most part and it is hard to get acurate info there about anything. I can see how that would scare you away though :P Good luck with CoV, the character creator will spoil you, it will make you think that every other MMO has the worst character creator in the world. And I know there at least used to be a set of ampers on triumph with a villain group.

Sorry if I wuz unclear..I didnt mean the forums on the main page made me not want to play.I know most MMO forums are that way.(played most everything out since 1999).Just I got alot of info from there.
I dont mean this insulting in any way but most the people who post here are friends of each other and like the game.So generally talk about good stuff not really what the game has to offer fully or has broken etc.(simply no one comes here to "bi***" because no one of real importants will more then likely see it(devs))
My main thing though is the short play.I tend to blow through games pretty fast because I dont sleep alot.
I do and will play DDO just when there is more to "play".
To say it again I do like the game amp comunity that I have found so thats why Im go`n to COV game amp for info.
Ill be back...P.S. This is what a part of the alphabet would look like with Q and R eliminated

Ahhhhh I understand now. If you are someone who goes through a game quickly, then DDO probably isn't for you. I've been playing casually (other addictions call my name also), so I really haven't even seen half the content out there. And I'm the type of person who enjoys seeing everything, doing every quest, even if the xp isn't the greatest.
As for the people here *grin* the fact that you see us as all friends really means a lot. That means we have achieved a community here (small for now but it will grow). I'm glad you are sticking around gameamp. The people over on the CoH/CoV sites really are the GREATEST (and you'll need to use the CoH site also because you will be fighting them if you go into the PvP zones).
Be sure to poke your head over here every now and then to keep up w/ the updates on DDO, to find out when it has enough content to keep you distracted for long, long peirods of time!
