Ok recently Gaile Gray was talking about storage solution's:
What I want to know is what are your idea's for better storage and what do you think A Net have in mind for their idea.
I have come up with the following based on what was said.
We could stack armor's into one slot saving alot of space, I know this is a major issue for me as when I see an armor I buy it whether it be normal Droknars Forge armor or 15k armor's I buy them then run out of space very fast. It would be nice to be able to stack a suit of armor into one slot or even have a seperate storage area for these armors (my wardrobe ^_^).
Also increasing stack sizes from 250 to 500 would nice.
Come on people what do you want to see in the way of storage changes.

Maybe we'll be able to unequip bags from our inventory slots that are already full of 10 items and drop it in one storage space. It would be a pain to get things out again, and you'd have to remember where you'd put everything, but I'd really like the ability to.

In the case of things like that I would love a lock item the same way we can hide unhide a bag in our inventory, it would be great to be able to lock an item so that it cant be salvaged or sold until we decide to unlock it.

In Diablo 2 there was this thing called the Horadric Cube. It was a magical item that wasn't necessarily meant for storage, but it only took up for 4 inventory slots. When you opened it, you had another 20 slots inside. It was a decent way of gaining extra storage.
I propose that they allow us to store things in the bags, and remove them and store them in our back pack while they are full. I'm not saying they should allow a pack full of bags, but if they allowed each person to carry 1 or 2 full bags in their pack, as well as the 2 normal bags, it might solve a lot of issues.
The one or two bags would be unaccesible till you placed them in the bag slot, and would be un sellable unless they were empty. That would solve the problem of needing to hide a bag at the merchant in order to prevent selling something.
That's my thoughts.

Increaseing stack sizes.
Allowing Bags and Pouches to be stored with contents.
Allowing stacking of all identical items.
Per character storage that can be accessed by all characters on the same account, essentially quadrupling your storage.

I'd just be happy to have storage at guild hall and maybe double up the slots..
Maybe nothing new... but it would get the job done!

There could be a problem with having bags being put in storage. Could you put a bag within a bag? Then another bag within that bag? That would be unlimited storage I suppose.

Well they could make a storage temple. Where all you have to do is drop your items there and you can come back and get them. Then the xunlai agents can give you your most recently dropped items and money all the time.

I think that having a slot for each type of item would be useful, like having a slot for all different types of bows... and an axe slot. If that makes sense to you people.
so all axes could be stored in one slot and retreived individually, no matter what the axe is.
Also, increasing stack sizes as has alrady been mentioned would be great.

I definately think they should let things like raven staffs stack, get a ton of them. Also increasing the stack sizes, and I like the guys idea who said give each character a storage box that all can access. I had my storage filled with my first char, then had to make room with my next three.

i think what they mean it they'll make a category for each kind of item. say you have a category for weapons; you can save up to 20 weapons in that storage category.
if so, you'll have the storage like this:
-weapons
-materials
-runes
-armor
-misc.
the thing here is that the storage will only let you save those specifics in their determined storage category, making the storage system more organized this way.

Remember Neverwinter Nights? Do that. Sell bags that you couldn't really put into your bag slot, but that would take up one slot.
Or, hmm......
maybe a Coin Machine system. You know those machines where you put a coin into it and it stacks it with similar or the same coin? Well, how about stacking all white staffs, all blue staffs, all gold staffs, etc?
Then if you click on the stack, you'll see a window with all the similar items. Maybe have a 20 item limit on that? Stacks of 250 would still exist, but then 20 stacks of 250 all put into one slot?

errr, fortunately it was only my HoD lieutenants help, and not my axe... but i accidentally salvage it this weekend by clicking 'goodbye' to the merchant, over my open inventory, while i had salvage enabled, was close considering what all is in that bag :S
soooo, what do you mean lock a bag??
as to ideas, a key ring!, and armor stacking, and possibly increase the stack rate of crafting mats to 500, other than that, i dont really need my axes stacked, or swords, or bows, unless its an expandable box with slots, that will store like 5 weapons, or even 10, in the corner of storagelike a safety deposit box for weapons

By hiding unhiding a bag i mean this...
You can tick untick a bag so items dont show in the sell list.

I was thinking of something along the lines of that, except you can access bags through the storage, just make it so right-clicking on a bag will open it.

well as for the idea of stacking weapons... that would be impossible (as they generally have dif reqs, damage, mods, etc).
Increase stack size to 500 and maybe add a couple more rows and that should work maybe.

What I meant was stacking like items. All swords would be under the slot labelled, 'Swords'. then if you clicked on that slot, a window would open showing maybe a max of 20 slots. And if you unclicked, that would zoom back out to one slot.
