I meet a lvl 20 Necro today in Piken square, he was buying charr carvings for alot of money, but he refused to answer me what he used them for.
Please those anyone know why he was so crazy after carvings ??

I don't know what he would use them for, but I stock up on them for holiday events. ^^

probably buying the 5 energy wand, and scamming people for more money than it actualy is worth.
outside of nolani there is a collecter who gives a firewand with tons of mods and +5 energy on it. it would be wise to get one incase of nerfage

he payed 1k for 50 carvings and 5k for 250 carvings
Can you get this wand in Nolani with charr carvings from Ascalon ?

That is common. Its 20g per carving, that is normally what I buy them for.

thats 20g each, which is way too much to be buying them for the wood, so he is buying them to trade them into fur squares probably and then sell them to players or the rare mat trader

some guy i talked to said he maybe did it because of Wood, its cheaper to salvage wood fron carvings then buy it in the store he said.
Any thoughts on this ??

There is a collector for them in Piken Square, his name is Louise Haup.

I don't know what he is doing. One of two things. There is a collector that gives you a plus 5 energy Firewand. He could be getting those and trying to scam people for alot of money. Or he could be saving them for holiday events, like I do.
During the holiday events, you can trade various items for special holiday items. I currently have over 5000 carvings I have been getting from farming for them. ^^

I'm just trying to condesnse the information here as the original poster seems to have gotten somewhat confused a this point.
Charr Hides, not Carvings, trade for Fur Squares so nix that idea.
As stated, their is a Colector in Piken Square who wants Carvings and a Collector right outside of Nolani. Each Collector trades for various low level weapons/off-hands and the one outside Nolani has the +5 Energy Fire Wand. Carvings are one of the easier (along with Summit Badges) items to trade for Holiday items and they do salvage for wood.
These suggestions above are your options for what he was doing as their is not, that we know of, some sort of super secret thing he's using them for.
On a side note, I don't generally believe that the +5 Energy Wand will be nerfed as it is balanced with (I believe) a -25% attack speed mod but with a Balance update projected for the 15th you never know.
