OK, let's think practical and serious here.
What would you like as the new travel power to CoH?
So far we have leaping...ss...tp...and flight.
I recently came up with a neat travel power. I don't know what the name would be...but here's the description:
It's a travel when you go underneath earth and dig to your destination like in cartoons....like Bugs Bunny...
wouldn't that be awsome?!

How about, a warped kinda travel. It's kinda like fly, but alot faster, takes more end, and you set a destination like tp, and you kinda fly spastically towards there. The danger would be that you might agro random stuff, and you wouldn't be able to stop till you get there. It'd also have a Defence/Resistance buff maybe?
Oh, and vehicles! The teir one powers would be combat compatible, like rollerblades/combat bike, and the level 14 power would be a (customizable) Car, and the level 20 one would be a plane of some sort :D Of course, to attain this power set you'd have to pay inf to unlock each power :D

OK, I know this would be just about immpossible to do, but it would be cool. What about a combination of phase shift and slightly slower super speed, so you could run through buildings, walls, etc.

SSh! Don't say batmobile! DC comics are waiting to pounce..
But still for alot of people it would fit thematically to have a vehicle.
Here's how I think it would work best:
There would be one vehicle, which would kinda transform to suit all the powers in the set. I'll put down the powers I believe would be in it:
Armour: The machine thingie that you have transforms into some battle armour. It provides a moderate, but not overly big, bonus to defence. Cannot be used in conjunction with the lvl 14/20 powers. They don't cost end, but have large-ish deactivation/activation times, and it costs inf to unlock them to be used as regular powers.
Bike: This can be used in conjunction with the Armour. It is a bike that improves your ground speed to quite a bit more than sprint, but not near SS levels. It also provides a small defence bonus. It is not suppressed, but whilst using the bike you cannot jump vertically, and you have small jumps whilst moving.
Car: This is it! Your own superhero transport! It is quite good customizable. It has a speed close to SS, but you cannot attack whilst in it, and it has long activation/deactivation times. It also protects you from damage, although it acts like a pet and has hp of its own. If it is destroyed, it explodes, damaging you, and any nearby foes for large amounts of damage, leaving you and your foes stunned for a short time.
Jet: This is a customizable, small, aeroplane. It has the same status as the Car, except with flight movement, which is harder to control, as it drifts.
Those are my starting ideas for now.

How about a power that lets you whistle and a Pargon Yellow cab comes and picks you up and takes you to where you need to go and only cost a few Influance instead of endurance =)
maybe it could be charged to you SG rental account also as Work related expense =P as a side not chasing a villian into a topless bar and haveing a few drinks after the capture should not be a work expense.
or how about a newbie travel power you can use until level 10 called a "Bus Pass" =)
also you could have Xtrem travle powers like Sky diving to where you need to go or being launched from a cannon/catapolt from your SG base I could keep going but need to save some ideas for when they count the most )

OK, let's forget about what should vehicle powers include and think on how it's possible to make them using simple programming concepts...here is what I think:
Any hero, depending on the origin could have a transportation mount...where it's a bike...a bear....a car..a tiger...a ghost...a genie...whatever.
This could be possible by simply making pets that look like those instances and an animation of riding them.
The hero could summon this "pet" and "ride" it. Just like WoW (I ahte wow and I don't play it...but good for an example).
If built that way, it could be used easily and made easily...just a programming analysis though...
BTW...the vehicles could be costumizable too.
And the vehicle could be optional. PPL could choose wether they want a bike or good ol' SS.
BTW...bike...slower than SS?! Dude! When I say bike I mean a black bike that goes 300 KM/H...not a scooter!

Dude, this vehicle set is not meant to be uber as such, but a bit of everything. The bike is for combat, the car is for fast travel, and plane is for fast travel with vertical access.

personally, i would love a giant robot to run around in. like a transformer or something. you could drive it to battle, it transforms, then kick some major butt in it.

What if they improved on the old ones. Like for fly, you grow wings, could even have an attack where he shoots razor sharp feathers at you. Or for SJ, springs shoot out of your heels for you to bounce around on. SS, er well have not clue, but could at least make the ones we have more interesting.

Portable TP targets, Basically a device that you "Plant" somewhere in a zone that will let you TP from any other zone to the planted target, maybe a Temp, or limited number of uses item requiring something of great value or risk since it would be such a handy device to have.
The programming is already there as well, an example, say your in "The Hive" harassing Hami and you die, if you choose to go to a Hospital you wake up in Founders Falls, you have crossed Eden, bypassing an entire zone (Rezzed in the last zone that had a Hospital you passed through.)
By the same token of logic and programming you can choose to TP to a target in another zone that you previously planted a device in, say you want to go to ICON but your in The Hollows, make sure you plant the device in front of ICON before you get to The Hollows, once in The Hollows you can choose to TP to ICON.
Perhaps multiple devices, the possibilities are limitless.
Call it "Portable Teleport" or "Pocket Port" perhaps "Zone Skipper."
Could also use the idea of Folding space and opening a Wormhole to a particular part of Paragon, any Zone or Waypoint in that zone to any other Zone or Waypoint anywhere in Paragon simply by folding space.

I hate to make this comparison, but kinda like power rangers?! HAHA. I'd much rather have a Voltron-esque Robot! Now Voltron kicks major A$$!
what i'd really like to see if a flipping unicorn that could go around stabbing people with its horn! now that's a power! maybe something like Zelda in the Ocarina of time, where you play your little instrument or yell really loud and a horse, bear, BattleCat or some other chosen animal comes to serve you. oooh ooh!!! i just got a great idea! if you can call your animal friend, why not have a siberian huskie (i think) that has the little barrel around its neck that you call somehow when you die and it brings the barrel to you and it brings you back to life. or maybe battlecat comes and likes your face and you revive or soemthing.

We should realize that not all heroes may need wings oe stuff like that...
You don't expect a guy named "Assault Bot" to grow wings!
So we come to the conclusion I've been thinking about everyday in the past month:
POWERS SHOULD BE COSTUMIZABLE LIKE COSTUME PARTS!
For instance, you choose your super speed color. You could choose wether you want wings...jet packs...etc. You could choose wether you laser beam eyes are purple, red, or even white.
That would be the first step towards vehicles.
I've always hated that SS looks orange. And if you choose it for a Dark/Dark scrapper...it COMPLETELY ruins the looks...imagine a dark looking guy with 5 dark auras toggled running around with orange stuff beneath him! SS should be black!
You could even choose your freaking healing aura color!
Now from programming aspects...it's not TAHT ez...but possible.
When you go train and pick your power, there will be two parts. Wether the power you chose is costumizable or not. If it is, you press next and go to choose all the available costumization stuff.
So yah...this would even be better than vehicles...imagine a pink dark/dark scrapper...lol

Powers SO should be customizable! I have dark armor, and though I like it, it is sad that it is so... dark! I would make it green I think, togo with my spines.
Also, I think vehicles should be something you can buy. You can buy them in WoW!!!! We should be able to buy them in CoH. That was, if you wanted too, you wouldn't have to have a travel power! Some people would get one, because they need something like acrobatics or whatever, or they just like flying or whatever - but it would just add much more freedom of power selection to the game and make it much funner overall. Even if the vehicles cheapest price was like 1 million bucks, they'd be a great goal to aspire to.

going back to my fat hero idea, i just thought about a travel power... The ROLL! anyone remember the fat kid from Hook and how he tucked his legs next to his head and rolled down the plank? how cool would that be to have any hero let alone a fat hero rolling around paragon?!!

I have an interesting idea! Here we go!
1. A dragon travel pool.
1st power- Dragon Orb, grants you temp invincibility and you can attack!, but short duration.
2nd power- Call upon a baby dragon that deals medium damage with some sort of caone attack( Fire, ice, toxic, etc..)
3rd power- Your flying power of course, you call upon a medium sized dragon, it materializes next to you and jump up on his back and take off. If you run out END he disappears. I suppose this would require a lot of extra animation.
4th power- This is the Super attack. You call forth a Bahamut like Super Dragon Beast to let loose a huge area blast. Anyone whose played the Final Fantasy games would know what I'm talking about, AMAZING VISUAL!
The other Travel set is just a variation of the Fly set, but with wings. When you fly up they flap and when your aiming down, they tuck back.
Really, I just thought of these, I haven't spent any time thinking about'em!
