Ok. Now before we begin. I just wanna say. Let's keep this thread clean ok. I don't wanna see everyone yelling at each other or anything. No Flaming. So far its just....the allience(Humans, Night elfs, gnomes, dwarfs) and the horde (orcs, trolls, undead, taurons) go undead!!!!

I've played less see, Lineage 2, WoW, Ragnarock, an' CoH.
I'm stickin with CoH, I'm a comic person not much for the fantasy dunno why >.<
an although it's sorta a boarderline MMO, guildwars looks dang sweet, an thas one I might get just so if I crave swingin a sword I can do it with one easy payment... gah I miss my V is for Victory emote T_T

Well I played Earth & Beyond, Eve Online, and Star Wars Galaxies in that order and loved all of them. I'm gonna be looking out for Matrix online and Middle Earth Online and I hope those turn out good. Oh and CoV too, cant wait till PvP.

EverQuest for 5 years. The game was great until Sony started catering to "ubber" players and throwing scraps at the casual players.
I tried Lineage2 during the open Beta and it gave me Carpel Tunnel. Holy mousing Batman.
CoH is my only MMO right now. I refuse to give SoE any more money so no EQ2 for me. I will get WoW and at least give it a whirl, I really prefer the Fantasy genre so I am hoping it is all its cracked up to be. I am also going to be trying Guild Wars, simply because it looks shiney.

*Ticks off list* Diablo, Diablo 2, wait do those count? SWG, CoH, looking forward to: having money to re-activate my CoH and SWG accounts for Jump to Lightspeed and general love of CoH. Also looking foreward to CoV come on who isn't looking foreward to that?

Hmmmmm If Diablo 1 and 2 count those.... And Star Wars Galaxies...
Looking forward to: Matrix Online, DnD Online, and though I didnt know about it till I read about it here (Post link if there is one so I can see) Middle Earth Online.
Complaints about SWG: Not too much, except LOADING TIME!!!! Gah!!!!! And the fact that to become a HEALER jedi, I have to KILL stuff....
Complaints about Diablo: Eh, it's the first PC game I ever picked up, so albeit hard as well the last level was, I wouldnt have traded my Armor of the Whale for anything
Complaints about D2: Tooooooo Muuuuuuuccccchhhh Haaaaaaccccckkkkiiiinnnggggg.... You had to do that JUST TO KEEP UP!!! That's it, other than that, the game Pwned.

I am a staple in almost everyone's diet. Friends like me are a complement to any other friends I get on with almost everyone, remaining mostly in the background, but providing substance when it would otherwise be lacking. What Flavour Are You?

I'm waiting for CoV. Plus i think it would be fun to see who would win in a fight. Us or Them. I hope when we get a headquarters they give us a better dungeon. our is starting to smell funny.
Matrix online. And Uncharted Waters Online. its currently only in japan but i loved the first 2 games so much. Apparently it was a longer series but we never saw those other games. That totally sux. So i'm really hoping for it to get here.
Ragnarok, I hated the mob trains and kill stealers and pk'ers. And most the players just sat there picking on everyone. I ran into only 4 nice players.
WoW. So far its pretty good. I like it. But, i probably wont go into it cause of matrix. assuming matrix doesnt bomb.

Oooh.. This could get long...
Ultima Online - Beta to just before the AoS expansion release.
The game was great for a while, and even after it was no longer great, it was still good enough to keep me playing, even after I did everything. The fluidity of the skill tree was a big draw for me. The community was also something that helped to keep me in game.
The nerfing was horrible and often over-done. Somebody would cry about tank mages (admittedly over-powered), so they were destroyed by disarmed casting, meditation, and armour restrictions. Next, they complained mace fighting was too powerful. To the day I quit, mace fighting was the only skill with any form of damage/effect cap. It became relegated it to near the bottom of the pile, right before archery -- also nerfed into non-existance by requiring the user to stand perfectly still or the attack timer would be reset. And on and on and on...
When I quit, I was already bored with the game, itself. Then, bad customer service/gm pushed me out. I was threatened with a perma-ban for 1 offense of something that my barbarian had been saying since 1997 and somebody finally, in 2002, found offensive. I gave away everything I had that day and never went back.
Everquest - 2001
How this game ever earned the nickname of EverCrack, I will never understand. Boring level grind is a much more accurate nickname. And the leveling makes the first 5 levels in CoH look like slow motion. End results was multiple maxed out characters in a very short period of time and very little replay value. I suppose there might have been a community draw if I ever found a community beyond 1337-80!5 groups.
Horizon's - 2004
It was fun for a while, and much of what was promised kept me playing longer than I other-wise would have. The classes, themselves, were fairly rigid, but that was off-set by the fact that characters could change classes at towns with-out losing levels.
I bought a large plot for too much gold. I built a house that was useless, since there was no housing abilities turned on. I built multiple characters to the limit. Then, my main -- lvl 100 elemental archer -- was made useless for solo by a massive archery nerf. The same nerf, in fact, that UO did -- archers must now stand perfectly still or the attack timer is reset. Yet, other skills, such as magery, swordsmanship, spearfighting, ect, could move with-out the timer resetting.
I was bored and tired of characters being nerfed, so I quit.
I am stopping there, because I have to leave for work and this is starting to turn into a rant...

Star Trek Online (not high hopes after SWG)

My first MMO was Earth&Beyond and i was hooked very fast with it. Was pretty cool until about lvl 120-140. After then the hunting grouds got very crowded, 20+ people goin after one poor little mob was amusing at first but then became a stale laughing matter. Swg was my next MMO and i went there with some of my friends i made in EB. Swg at first was very buggy but loads and loads of fun. How many hours i put into that i will never know but i enjoyed most of them. Then the Devs got happy with the nerf bat! and omg they went nuts. After the second jedi patch they couldnt be killed and PVP was ruined, but hey all good things must come to an end. And now more and more from old guildies i hear about the catering to the jedi class and the rest of the builds kinda got put on the back burner. One more problem i had with SWG was the customer support ( or lack there of) it was kinda a miracle event when something got taken care of. My next MMO was COH it is pretty darn cool still but lack of pvp kinda hurts it and lvling as a defender after lvl 16 is pretty hard. Ive preordered EQ2 which im looking forward to (except for the SOE customer support) but will still continue to play COH especially when COV comes out!

I was a UO player. I came in during UO:R. So I never really was witness to nerfs cause most of it had already happened and so I thought thats how the game was. But I always did feel that things felt kinda off. Those were probably the nerfs that happened. Before I left which was about UO:AoS. Thieves had become useless. Couldn't do anything. Felucca players wanted people to go there and so they created some items that ya could only get in the Felucca dungeons and of course those areas were camped by Reds. The economy was not very noobie friendly. Useless swords came in different colors and had attributes and such now and now cost some 100k. I remember during the orc quest there was a gold orc mask that was worth a lot until the orc items became a permenant in the game. then they droped in price instantly. Couldn't place any houses. then they created new lands so that people could build and the area was filled up the following day. I was hoping for UX:O and then EA moved their offices to california and the staff quit and the game was canned. Horrible timing to move their offices.
EQ I played for like a weekend and then stopped. something about a single city that is filled with now loading just doesnt work for me. I mean come on. And then the currencts. Have to learn D&D currency. why cant we just stick with one single thing. Gil, Gold Pieces, Influence. Whats with all the...Copper, silver, gold, platinum. The only thing i liked about EQ were the skeletons. that was it. I always thought skeletons where mad and crazy and had insane laughs. And these did. and they looked creepy.
AO I played for awhile. Sadly i joined when i still had a girly computer and a dial up. BUT!! it was still fun. First day i was there and someone handed me some sunglasses. I looked so cool. but the economy i hated. even the npc's had expensive stuff. paid like 1k for asingle healing thingy that only cured like 100hp. i couldn't afford anything. i could never find anyone to play with there though. sadness. but other then that, due to lack of really getting to do the neat stuff and all that i dont have a complete opinion. the leveling was weird and kinda confusing to me. Either way, its a game I might give another try if I had a group of people to play with.
I played SWG for awhile. I recieved to much lag. Everyone I played with stopped playing or moved to other servers. I did pretty good though. But, I'm cleansed from it now and am going to take the Red Pill now. But, there was one thing I didn't like. Stats. If I'm going to be stuck with stats and they never change again unless migrated. Why can't I chose my stats from the beginning. Now I have to hurry up and earn 10k and then try to find someone that can migrate stats and not only that, actually answer me when I'm asking for people that can stat migrate. I've walked into salons and either get no answers or no one in there can stat migrate.
I really wanted to play Citizen Zero. The whole thing seemed just plain awesome. And then the project was bought out and is now an xbox only game instead of pc game and now its a first person shooter. so thats the end of that.
funcom was supposed to make a game called Midgard. then we never heard of it again.
Tabula Rasa intrestes me. Cause its by Lord Brit and Lord Blackthorne and the music is done by Chris Vrenna. That trio rules.
WoW so far has been fun. The grapix are simple and WC3 style but they are still pretty and crisp. And so far I experience no lag. yay. no lag. But, once the game is live that might change. Still fun though. I don't have any real complaints right except that pouches and bags are too expensive. my warrior had some sweet luck and found 3 diff colored pouches one after the other. and my rogue has found one too. Theres something about the map that bugs me. I donno what. But, I just keep feeling like theres something missing.

City of Heroes is my first MMORPG... I think I'm gonna stick with it for a long while, at least until CoV.
I tried Guild Wars when it was that couple days for E3 and it was okay I guess, but if I wanted a fantasy game, I'd go back to NWN on a persistant world. Was a bit too much hack n slash to me, but meh, what can you do.
I also saw my sister play Lineage2 beta and yeah, I agree with whoever said it was all clickin'.
So yeah, I dunno about MxO... I'm kind of sick of the whole Matrix series after the movies and stuff, but that's just me.
I feel like I'm gonna need a new video card soon tho. hehehe

From the information I've recieved, MxO is gonna bomb. Possibly more from simmilar server issues as SWG had when it came out. Other than that a buggy code may supplement it's unfortunate demise. I also have heard that the combat system is also less than stellar. Props to it's insanely good charicter creation and how far the devs have gone to make it an original MMO, because they have turned it into something more than simply existing to level up.
WoW, I have played it and it is good! *has no evil thoughts on WoW, because he is a Warcraft junkie at heart*. Unfortunately thats something that is going to harm WoW, the only people that are gonna stick with it through the whole thing are diehard Warcraft people, less than up to date graphics and what could seem to be just another EQ style of game could turn away new people to it. Those minor points asside, WoW will pwn you all, nublettes.
I must also profess my extreme hatred for EQ and EQ2. I never liked them and I bet I never will. No offence to you that play it btw ^^.

*Pokes Arzada* you could change your stats during the training area without waiting for a migrate (just to let you know :)
