I have a new computer. yay! (Gogo emachines: T3256 (athlon-based) w/ open video slot filled with ATI 9600 XT 256MB. Great PC for $600(PC) + $165(video card) + tax (and shipping only on video card))
Now after reading and posting about CoH for a month-plus I can play!
Back to PCs:

and a raft of character concepts I will get to eventually. Hope to get acquainted with everything ingame fast, as my friends have had a supergroup since game launch, so I'm not always clueless :-)
Just got Combat Jumping (SuperJump will be my travel power)
and put distance enhancer in as a low-level luxury, before
everything gets deadly serious. Fun to jump around, but
can't wait until I can leap atop Atlas!
In the meantime, skulls and hellions fear my mighty 1-2-3
of Foss/Stone Cage/Brawl, whilst I occasionally remember
to O2 Boost my party :-) Ugh. L26 before I can take
Volcanic Gasses to stack holds! Ah well, it's a fun game,
and beautiful even at 1024x768. (Will experiment with
1280x1024 tonight)
I've only been sent to the hospital once, whilst level 2
and fresh out of the tutorial. Apparently the thugs are
pretty tough with their guns early on, and of course I
forgot to use my healing insp in time.
Most of the learning curve is past for me now, except I
haven't met a boss yet :-)

Wow. sig changes are retroactive so my old post now has one.
Anyways, got in some more hours and have the chars below now. I had fun putting Hover on autopilot for my blaster and getting the atlas globe exploration badge.
Wasn't expecting to race the blaster ahead of my controller though. Will play him next, if I can. I'll just update the sig from now on unless there's some cool topic to reply to :)
