This is still happening to me as well on random post strings. I've tried refreshing and re-logging, but it didn't help. It's not all of the post strings though.
Current thread I lost access to is Forum >> Main >> General Discussion >> Changes to Missions?

I've found that sometimes you need to hit "Reply to Topic" 2-3 times (including page reloads) before you're able to reply to it. Apparantly we're still having issues with the new servers and the powers-that-be are working on this.

You don't have to put the arrow thingys, - will work also *grin*

Some of the Forums have been buggy lately. Which is why we need the community to let us know which ones they can not reply to.
It is random so we can not pin point the exact problem yet.

Yeah, this has been popping up in a few places. "The Nameless" (ugh I hate Slipknot) have been showing their faces every so often on the forums. Wish you guys luck in figuring this stuff out.

What I've noticed is that if I hit "Add Reply" and it just sits there, I'll quickly go and copy the text. 99% of the time if I just wait for the website to move forward my post is there. If I hit "Add Reply" multiple times while it's lagging out like that, I'll get a post for every click.
If by chance I lose it, I just copy and paste it back from the Word or Wordperfect file I pasted it into.
Now, just from a diagnosis point of view. The failing to be able to respond to some posts started right after a really nasty bout of multiple posts. I still get the occasional lag, but now I know what to do about it.
I wonder if the two problems are linked. Potentially multiple clicks on a post submission is breaking the link to add another post to it???
Keep in mind this is total speculation. This isn't my software speciality. But most times if you notice problems in more than one area, one of those problems gives up the real issue. I do not know what logging functionality the site code offers. With the ammount of stored data it has to be pure hell to try to manage it all.
I'm not second guessing the support staff on this one because they are probably checking in more places than I could ever imagine, but it seems most likely that the problem is not with the people trying to post, but that last post that got entered getting broken or corrupted somehow. (I know, I know...... the support staff is reading this right now and going.......Well DUH! Badges, We don't need no stinking badges.....wait, wrong movie)
Just ideas to ponder. So far I've been posting all over and haven't found another one I cannot reply to.

This problem right here sounds like you "timed out" while posting. If you sit on the site for to long with out any activity you get logged out. If you so happen to be posting a long forum post (or article, or guide) it for some reason still posts it, it just shows up as an "unknown" person as the aurthor.
The way to fix this problem is if you tend to take a while to post to click the "remember me" box when you log in. You won't ever time out again if you do that.
Also on a totally different note, if you are ever uploading a video to the site, you want to make sure you have that box clicked. Otherwise your video submission will go through as an unknown aurthor.

Actually this isn't my job. I don't know anything about the programing side of things. My job is to collect as much info about the problem as possible so when the Dev's ask me what I'm talking about, I can explain it (usually I copy/paste *grin*).
But I know I need more than 2 example threads of this happening. So if anyone finds another thread you can't post on, please put it here.

i couldnt quote anyone and when i hit reply to topic on the second page it would just refresh the page.
i was only able to reply when i hit the reply button on the top of the first page of the thread.
