I'm thinking about starting up a pet oriented controller, but I'm not quite sure which one to go with.
Secondary will definitely be kinetics, since I want to buff my critter(s). But what main power is best? Illusion?

get a Catgirl they make the best pets, followed closely by demons and Vampire-girls
Edit: any of these can be converted to a pet rock if they're stone tankers
Dunno about any of the controller pets so I thought I'd post something random

Do they have a Pug creating power set? Just kidding, I know nothing of controllers

Ahh.. well being a controller.. lets see
Recently Nerfed: Fire Imps, Decoys(Not really pets)
Recently Helped: Jack Frost and The PooP (Animated Stone)
Not touched: Gravity Pet and Phantasm.
Well, I'v seen most of the pets.
THough I am a tad biased... I'd say Jack is pretty good, he's a ice tanker/blaster now since the patch.. and the made The PooP stronger in the same way.
Fire Imps.. I dunno what they did to nerf them, but they do seem weaker.
Now.. Gravity pets cant get hurt.. which is nice, and I dunno ANYTHING abou thte phantasm... Hmm >.>
I'd say go with either Ice, Stone, or Gravity...

You also got to keep in mind that the Dark Defenders get pets and the Electric Blasters get pets as well..

GRavity Controllers now get a pet called Singularity. Cant be harmed and is a formidable opponent to even-leveled groups of mobs (saying this from a lvl 32 point of view hehe)
The Fire Imps are a bit weaker, but still decent.
Jack Frost still rocks..... the combination of Ice Tanker/Blaster is a good combination for a pet.
Illusion's Phantasm is still really good, as it can summon illusionary duplicates, which really help. The Decoys are exactly what they are named- Decoys. Not supposed to be pets....
The Stone Pet is great, especially since its immune to Psionic damage (which is great when facing off against those darn Rikti mind-controllers!)

Well i would have to say illusion. See kinetics doesnt have a wide area buff so you ahve to hit them one by one and you can have about 2/3 phants out that can kill pretty fast. Then you have phantom army that can tank for you. So i would have to go with illusion for the fact phantasm can kill at a decent rate and you get your own personal tanks. Word of advice dont slot phantom army to do damage slot phantom army to tank. 5 recharge 1 acc is best IMO. Just my 2 cents.

Well, I'm out on a limb here:
I said Ice, Stone and Gravity were the best IMO.
This is due to the fact I'v seen all but the Illusion Pet (Heck.. Iv even see the electric and dark pets..)
The Illusion and Gravity pets are nice (The fact they do a decent amount of damage and cant be hurt makes them better).
Jacks are great since they have a faster attack rate now, as well as the ability to attact at a distance now.
But I think Gravity is overall one of the better pets.
I really need to see the Phantasm though to fully make up my mind.

I heard lemurs make good pets... but I think I would be happy with a catgirl pet as per Generic Hero's suggestion. :)
