| Rogue is the worst class for pvp isn't it? |

I started WoW about a month ago and am lvl 20. My char. is a Nightt Elf Rogue. I found that pvp is the best thing to do in this game but also found that the meat of the rogue's special abilities are hard to use in a pvp setting. How do other people use rogues in pvp and will it get any easier?

Hmmm personally I found that the rogues abilities are great for pvp...the instant attacks let you deal damage out incredibly quickly. Wich works very well in a hit and run type attack method.

rouges are very deadly when used for pvping... but you gotta use them right.. so don't charge in like your a warrior... sneak up... ambush and give him hell.. lol

Don't you think it is hard to get behind them in stealth for ambush since, obviously, pvp'ers dont follow set paths like mobs do? How do you high lvl rogues approach pvp?

well i dont play a rouge but my friend does... rouges are well euiped in attacking people who are allready in combat with another thing.. (monster/player) also getting behing is easy if you use the distract skill.(not sure of the level) when used the pklayer stops moving and looks at the location of the "noise" and all it takes now is to quickly slip up and ATTACK

actually i think rogue is 1 of the best characters to play on for pvp its up there with warriors and mages :)

Well I've only played one of the battlegrouds, Warsong Gulch and there one way to make the best out of a rogue is to defend the flag, it seems. (atleast at the 20-29s where Hunters don't have Flare or anything.)
Whenever someone tries to get the flag, a big bunch of rogues appear and pwn the invaders.
I don't know about the higher levels but as far as I know, just sneak up to them and start slashing around and throw in a few immobilizations.
One thing that you should look out for is Hunter's Mark. Once you're marked, everyone can see you.

My brother has told me about that but he said that Vanish has a quite long cooldown time so it works only once and if you get marked again, you're d00d. :P

ya the cooldown is 5minutes..
but it doesn't really matter cause you aren't found out that easily...

Hmm...well...i have a 60 rogue and i use a hit and run technique...Its actually pretty easy just takes practice..and NEVER run into battle without being in stealth less you cant/know your not gonna die...its like running onto a battlefield with no cover and trying to dodge machine gun spray lol.

Go to fileplanet, Video Google, or YouTube and search for the following... (it's all the sma,e I just want you to see it) "Feel the Pain" and "Niar"... It's a Rank 14 NElf Rogue, and it's the greatest PvP videos I have EVER seen. He's beyond deadly, taking and killing 3 to 4 at a time sometimes.
Here is my favorite one streaming on google.
I suggest going to FilePlanet and downloading the high res versions. There are 6 total.

the only problem whit rogeu's is that pve is so boring -_-

I play a rogue as my main and have been doing a lot of PvP recently. He is combat spec with some subtlety. In PvP he can kick serious ass. However, I pick my targets quite carefully. And stealthing behind someone is easy as long as they are not more then 3 levels higher than you, cuz they can see you then.
I never attack anyone during BGs on my own. And during a duel I stealth right in front and cheap shot them and lay into them until they come out. Vanish, cheap shot, and evicserate, or kidney shot depending on how much health they have left. I will own warriors up to 2 levels higher than me almost everytime, almost.
Rogues, to me, are vicious in PvP settings and when you know how to use them.
Well thats my two cents. I had to say something after seeing this.

I find PvE w/ my rogue quite fun. I was so happy that I was able to take down a equal level elite solo with him. It was great fun!

I am a lvl 45 pvp night elf rogue dagger/backstab speced. if played properly you can fight off two or even three enemies at once (extremely difficult to do three at once). anyway my rouge's only trouble is hunters and other rogues, because of the simple fact that i can sneak up, stun, backstab, and repeat the process if i got the points to do it. with green daggers i can make 1k crits with him, that's really not bad for a backstab or even ambush. in warsong rogues usually are good for getting the flag with little trouble, then sprint away with it to leave them in the dust. when i get him to higher lvl he will be pretty nice to have on a team.

yeah, i have a 48 rougue and i find that rougues are one of the best to pvp with. one technique i find usefull to avoid hunter's mark without vanishing is to stealth before entering battle. in the initial meeting where the two sides meet, i stealth to the site so the hunters dont get a chance to see/mark you. its very useful. =)
Noob will one day suppress master...just not today.

Wait until you get Cheap shot, crippling poison, and vanish. You'll be so happy that the opponent finds it hard to run.

lvl 55 subtly rouge here, i love pvp with my rouge i own so much face because of the great way all my abilites play out
i have shadowstep which allows you to teleport behind someone and get your shot in, also there is improve sap to knock someone out for a while while you work on fighting someone else. best thing is you keep your stealth while you improve sap someone.
and since the new talent changes they can learn (subtley) to dodge AOE spells! and can completely ignore an attack that could otherwise kill you!
i can usually stay in the top 3 places in warsong and in arathi basin for HK's which is really not bad at all

Um no, IMO, Grim > Every other rogue ever.
HERE Go to the website, download the filefront version, MUCH better quality than the streaming one. You'll be amazed :)
