Hello all

Well, I did it. I dove in on the 14 day trial. :)

Made me my first villain last night. He's a dominator with plant control skills. Called him Poison Blue, so if you ever see a guy runnin around with that name, in blue leather with a skeletal robotic right arm and a hood, that's me.

So far, the most annoying thing I've found is that I don't know how to automatically melee attack. All it does is tell me I'm outta range unless I manually make him run up to melee range.

Is there a way to get him to automatically get in range once I've targeted something?

You've made a great start in life by getting involved in the villianry! Gratz! What server do you play on?

Well, the only way to move your character is to move him yourself or get tp'd to a location. Unfortunatly, that's the only way to engage a target.

If you want to use the auto attack for any power you have, all you need to do is hold the Ctrl key and select that power. Again, you'll have to be in range for that power to actually trigger.

RE: Hello all

I dont do this but i think you can right click on enemy and click follow and you will run to them and if attack qued you will follow. Be warned if they run into another group you follow if you dont pull away.

RE: Hello all

Oh yeah, server. Well, I started him on Triumph. Is there a better one to be on? I was wrackin my brain to try to remember what servers I'd seen in the forums, and instead of actually looking, I just picked one.

Bummer you can't auto attack. It's a bit frustrating for me coming from Guild Wars where I can just press c then space bar to attack the closest target.

RE: Hello all

i always used the "f" for follow and watched to hold back for runaways. since there are so many attacks to use they dont have the basic auto attack like guild and WOW, but you can use Ctrl and click the power you want and it will trigger every time it cycles around if your target is in rng and you have Endurance

not sure if im clear but if you double click your attack it will target the nearest foe in your field of view, so when fighting a group when you kil one if you double click brawl (for example) it will target and punch nearest. you can also bind a key to attack nearest, i did this with my energy corr so i could use knockback on the closest mob. is that what you mean or you mean to auto run to them?

I mean that if you use a ranged attack or a melee attack, it doesn't automatically run up to the point where you're in range to use it. You just get a little "out of range" message over your head until you move your toon in range.

Yes, if you are trying to use a melee attack, you must be in range. Just clicking on the attack does not automatically take you within range. To do this, you will need to physically move yourself using the movement keys, or, as someone has mentioned, once you have someone targeted, hit the 'f' key (for 'follow') and you will automatically run up to that target.

Argh! Now the thought is in my head. Cant....get...it...out!
Must...make...bind! When 'g' asked about a bind for MM's to target and attack in one click. I found a great way to do so, and have been using it ever since, but it was for MM pets. Off to work I go to figure this one out. Anyone else have any ideas? Where's Khaiba?

Oh, and unwelcome to the game, and CoV side of Gameamp.

is it either Ctrl key or just the left Ctrl key.. for me its the left one but I also have made changes to my key mapping..

hehe I use this on my Corr when I want to go AFK.. I tell my roomate to not target anything he doesnt want pulled 8).. there is an auto assist feature for this game as well.. I leave him targeted and go to the bathroom or what have you..

RE: Hello all

Note to self:

Do not try new games until tired of the others currently playing.

I can feel myself getting sucked in as we speak. This is bad, because I'm already in Lineage 2 and Guild Wars. :/

You guys are great (for villains) and thanks for the unwelcome. >:( <--my villain smiley

I think it would be something like:

/bind v "target_enemy_near$$powexec_name Brawl"

or instead of brawl it is the name of whatever power you wnat to use.
