Not sure where to post this, but since it shows up in the quest sheet I will post it here...Does anyone know what the misadventure number is, at first I thought it came from charming monsters as my sorcerer kept getting it, however I just ran my pally on a few solo quests and still got misadventure...think the highest was misadventure=9 So, if anyone has any idea please share with the rest of us :)
Thanks,

Misadventure is from breaking the crates.

Not sure, but I believe that if you or a monster break crates/barrels while fighting, it is flagged as things broken by misadventure.

Misadventure is when the mosters break crates or monster kills other monsters. Also when monsters die from traps.

yeah occasionally you will see missadventure under the kills section, usually from a trap, or if the monster falls in water and drowns, things like that.

I'll have to see if I can encourage them to do that more often then. See how high I can get it.

They do not drown. When they fall in water they either stay there or they instantly teleport back to their spawn point.

Awwww I had visions of knocking them off a high ledge and watching them drown. That's not very fair.

Hmmm... maybe it depends on the monster type, or maybe they have changed the rules but... I've plunked quite a few skels and a kobold and hobgoblin or two into the water never to return, and got a misadventure under the kill section. I personally have never seen one return to the spawn point. That could have changed however, or could be based on depth or the distance of the fall...
