I and I am asking you fine people here at MMOradio. I am looking for Colleges with good Engineering programs. The only one i found so far, and applied to, Is Drexel University in Philidelphia. So if any of you know any other good schools with engineering programs, your help will be very greatful.

It'll help you look for colleges. I haven't used it too much, but it also provides scholarships and stuff. just enter your info and it'll tell you what you can go for.

Im only a sophomore in HS, but when I graduate im going to attempt NYU and Julliard. Both in NY =P
There's also Gibbs College that focuses on business, technology and such near me. If your school has it, go to a college office and ask around. They usually have millions of pamphlets.

UTPA down here in Edinburg, Tx is supposed to have (don't quote me on this) one of the top enigeneering programs in the nation. I don't know of its rank, but I know its recognized nationally.

What kind of engineering are you interested in?
Although most colleges will start you out in a "pre-engineering" curriculum, then look at your grades and decide whether to let you enter the particular engineering degree program you want (and to give them a chance to weed you out before you even get that far), you still owe it to yourself to decide what it is you want to do.
Aerospace Engineering
Biomedical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Computer Engineering (often part of Electrical Engineering)
Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
Materials Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Nuclear Engineering (often part of Mechanical Engineering)
Textiles Engineering
I recommend you get the latest edition of the U.S. News best colleges survey, and look at the colleges that rank best in the specific engineering field you're interested in. Then filter that list based on how affordable the colleges are and other factors that are important to you.
I also recommend that you enter the co-op program, in which you'll alternate going to school and working each semester. The work experience is invaluable, and often the graduates go directly into full-time jobs with their co-op employers. And the work also helps pay for school.

I am interested in Computer Engineering at the moment, and The co-op is the main reason i applied to Drexel, so i want to find other colleges that offer this.

BTW, US News only gives you 3 of the schools on their free list on their website. If you want more, you need to buy the magazine, but they do have a listing for Comp. Engineering undergrad programs, so it would probably be worth it to you. The link is HERE.
This is how they are listed, but I don't think they are the top two schools. Maybe the are like 8, 9 and 10 of a top ten list.
1. Rose-Hulman Inst. of Tech (IN)
2. Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo *
3. Cooper Union (NY)
*Edit* See Warbride's post below.

Stellari, you clicked on the wrong list at usnews.com. That's the list of top computer engineering schools among schools whose highest degree offered is only a bachelor's or master's degree. The real list would be the schools that also offer a doctorate in computer engineering:
1) MIT
2) Berkeley
3) Stanford
That seems like a much more reasonable list, but good luck making it into those schools!
| QUOTE | | I am interested in Computer Engineering at the moment, and The co-op is the main reason i applied to Drexel, so i want to find other colleges that offer this. |
Schools with internships / co-ops, from usnews.com:
Alverno College (WI)
Antioch College (OH)
Berea College (KY)
Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo
Drexel University (PA)
Georgia Tech
Northeastern University (MA)
Portland State University (OR)
Rochester Institute of Technology (NY)
University of Cincinnati
Warren Wilson College (NC)
You really should get the U.S. News book to cross reference the lists of all the things that matter to you and get more details about the individual schools. The information at usnews.com is intentionally limited because they want you to buy the book or the online service.

Ok I'm biased here.......but I am an NC Aggie.
http://www.ncat.edu/
I have an Electrical Engineering Degree with a specialization in Computers. They didn't have the Computer Engineering department they have now. It is a great school and there are many opportunities that are often over looked by many of us. I had a Engineering Scholarship and a Minority Scholorship. When I was there we had a mirco-chip manufacturing lab where students in their Senior and Graduate levels could work......unless you were a really good Junior - then you got to work in there too if you wanted to. :) I also did a co-op with NASA's MSFC while in my Junior and Senior years. I now work for NASA at SSC where I started in the propultion testing directorate and now am in the Chief Information Officer's office. (I don't blow up engines any more! Though I admit that was fun.) My work now is primarily in IT Security, IT System Administration, IT Support, Data Center Assistant Manager, Applications Development, and Web Design and Development......I've also put in a few classes at SMU towards my Computer Science Master's Degree. And I started at NC A&T SU!
BTW welcome to the world of the MAD Engineers!

I'd give you a small list as well, but I doubt they'd be of any use to you, as they'd all be Canadian...
