I can't play CoH without music. Its a fact. But, I'd also like to use teamspeak. Does anyone know of any programs out there that can automatically cut or turn down music when people talk?

Well, I can't say that I have ever used Teamspeak, but I would be amazed if the Age of Techonology we're living in hasn't yet produced something that dims music when someone's talking. I don't know how much help that does lol, but I guess you could google it.

I'm not sure how loud you listen to your music but Teamspeak has a "push to talk" option you can utilize. That way your mic isn't always active, thereby making your music listening almost a non-issue.
Or you can adjust the mic to activate on a shout, or get a close proximity mic that only picks up sound in a very small radius around it.
Just try playing around with the different sound options in the program. You can do alot with it. Hope some of this helps.

I think he was asking not only about when he himself talks but when someone else talks as well.
I hate to say it, I too suffer the affliction of desiring music while I'm gaming. There is, to my knowledge, no way of making both happen. You can eliminate your music when you speak, but as for others, well I don't know of a way.
I have learned to live without my music though. I've learned that the conversations that I hear over Vent are much more entertaining than the music I'd be listening too anyway.
the only thing I can suggest to you is if you must listen to music I listend to my Ipod with only 1 earbud in and then had the volume cranked up a bit on my PC speakers. That way anything someone would be saying would be louder than that one sided music, and that way no one else was hearing my music as well. :)

Oh well. I'll just have to make do. I find though, that music adds a hell of a lot to my hero-ing experience, especially if you get the right stuff (currently I am really enjoying a prog-metal band called Dream Theater). But then again, Teamspeak makes things a hell of a lot easier. Even if I do mumble and no one hears me properly.
As for having teamspeak going over the speakers at a higher volume, my family already put up with the music. And I don't like having the music simply lower, because then I find myself straining either to hear the music or the voices.
I'll find some compromise.

through external programs you bet.
My group usually uses Ventrillo But Teamspeak is also popular. :)
