WOW
WoW has announced Enforced Servers... You will only be able to play on a server physically based near you. Europeans will not be able to play with Americans or Asians, and so on. The Official Forum Guy had this to say: "To provide the absolute best connectivity to our game servers, Blizzard has set up dedicated datacenters for World of Warcraft in multiple regions around the world. Unfortunately, because of the current realities regarding local billing requirements, privacy of information across international boundaries, and the aforementioned issues with connection quality between regions, we will be unable to offer cross-regional services at the time of the North America/Korea launch.
Blizzard Entertainment and Ideazon have come together to produce the World of Warcraft Zboard Keyset. This limited edition Keyset will allow players to fully immerse themselves in World of Warcraft and deliver the ultimate gaming experience.

EQ2
RPGVault posted an article on chraacter creation in EQ2. Frogloks may not be created at this time; it appears they must be freed or unlocked within the game before becoming playable. You can change the tilt of the eyes as well as the position, curvature and angle of the eyebrows. These are done via a morphing system that uses sliders, while certain other choices involve discrete alternatives such as selecting among pre-set hairstyles, tattoos or fur patterns.
Unless you opt to skip it, play begins with a tutorial segment set on a sailing vessel at sea. You begin by talking with the captain, an action that introduces EverQuest II's voice element. The ship drops you off at the newbie area, the Isle of Refuge, which is a fairly small island, much of which has been overrun by goblins. This entire location will apparently be instanced, which means multiple iterations will be created in order to avoid over-crowding. One of the first things you do here is to pick a starting profession - fighter, mage, rogue or priest. That done, you can take on a number of quests, mostly involving the aforementioned invaders.
There is a tower where you can begin your artisan career. First you perform tasks for the towers owner, then are sent in to work on the crafting stations. Icons will randomly appear as you craft. If you don't press the corresponding icon quick enough production slows. You can even die if you miss too many icons. The full rundown is at gamergod.com. Once you're ready to leave, you're directed toward Qeynos or Freeport. Depending on the race of your character, you may or may not be able to choose. In either case, you arrive outside the city proper and must gain citizenship before being permitted inside the walls. You receive a housing space, which can improve over time as your standing within the settlement advances, and a few items, like a table and painting, that you can place where you wish to begin making it feel more like your own domicile.
