Hey,
I have been ettin farming to unlock runes, so I found a rune of sup divine favor get the unlock message etc etc.
Later I go to the priest and it still shows the minor rune and says unlocked.
A little later the same happens with an elementalist sup rune.
Next day I find rune of minor and major and another sup of divine favor and now it does say unlocked, but I did not get the unlock message on the sup rune.
So I think you have to lock all the 3 runes individually and if you have let's say a superior and major rune unlocked, then buy the minor with faction it will go right to completely unlocked status at the priest.
Just wanted to ask if what I think was infact correct, as I reported it to anet and instead of telling me why it didn't say unlocked they gave me a link to a manual which didn't work >< and a link to the community site listing.

Sounds correct to me. I've had the same issue and drew the same conclusion.
