| Deathsurge, what’s old is new again. |

I was on the justice server last night about to hop into a Mission. Someone sent over the Broadcast that Deathsurge was up if anyone wanted to get the badge. We decided to go and get the badge. I have fought Deathsurge before a while ago with my Brute. It went well and we had 8 people that joined in when we defeated him before.
Now this time we had the 8 people, pretty well rounded team. Then the pain started. Deathsurge team wiped up more then once. He was nearly unstoppable. A couple of the teammates went to get their higher level toons, ranging from 28-40. Deathsurge still wiped them out with on hit. By that point we were all mad enough to not give up, and pounded, rezed and pounded him again, until he was finally defeated.
I do not remember Deathsurge being so powerful when I tangled with him in my Brute. Maybe on that old team we had a healer, I don’t remember that. But I do remember him going down a lot quicker than this.
Just seeing if anyone else had noticed that?

Deathsurge deals a crapload of damage...
However, it's all energy damage, so an */Energy Brute can really take a serious pounding from him without breaking much of a sweat. I was tanking against Deathsurge with Aurora when she was level 19 and really just standing there, hitting him once in a while and taking damage. Other people would heal me now and then, but for the most part, he was pretty easy.

I helped kill him the other day when he popped up in the streets of CAP. Very easy, probably cause I was lvl 40 lol.

I suppose that is the Key, what types of toons were attacking Deathsurge. We had a level 40 stalker, Level 28 Corruptor, and I was a puny level 16 Dominator. There were 4 others but I do not remember their levels or type. I know that the Level 40 stalker was killed several times. Energy and Stalkers don’t mix I guess.

Just remember, Giant Monsters scale their damage to the level of the character fighting it. So if it hits someone that's Level 15, it's going to do significantly less damage to them than if it's hitting a level 40 character, however the level 40 has more hitpoints. So basically it makes it fair for everyone attacking the giant monster. The level 40 still has the edge because of enhancements and number of available powers, though.

I did not know that, well that makes more sense, but it was still a butt-whooping for us. LOL.
Is a badge worth that much debt? Oh well, I got it now I can…..well do something
