I do 4 man groups, its the basic 5 man group minus the bonder. Bonders arent really needed so long as the stance tank is set up correctly and knows what s/hes doing.

Take a echo nuker intead who also uses elemental attunement AND fire attunement (or air/earth depending on what is used). Echo is more effective then renewal, and the attunements make sure that elementatlists dont get out of energy since spells give a 80% (50% elemental attunement + 30% fire attunement) base regain.

SS is also a great gain on 5 man oro team. But you can combine SS with MM. that way you will have a more efficient necro AND yu can take along a echo-nuker.

Off-Topic: Hehe, thank you for the sig compliment ^_^. I get bored sometimes so i make sigs in my spare time.

On-Topic: Combining an SS with an MM eh? Sounds intriguing, ill suggest it to me mates next time we all go Oro/FA. And we'll even leave out the Echoer XD see if we cant do a 3 man, hehehe.

Another thing you could do is combine the bonder and the healer.

The tank uses Mending to counter bleeding and as a buffer for the bonds. Since you have one regen, bring Balth's, you'll have no regen, but you'll gain energy each time you get hit. Use the healing on yourself.

Monk bonds and heals the tank. Stagger Healing Seed with HH/MoP. With the bonds, those two will easily overcome any damage they do to the tank.

Just a couple of comments:

* I wouldn't try to combine MM and SS necros, since both are quite energy hungry builds. 4 pips of regen + one inlet of Soul Reaping just isn't enough to fuel SS pumping, minion raising and minion healing. And unless you are willing to weaken yourself with 2 superior runes, your attributes will be lacking as well.

* quite seriously and having played both extensively, a renewal nuker is superior to an echo nuker. The energy is not a problem and neither is exhaustion.

For both points the following since i use SS/MM and echo Nuker;

My necrobuild (based on Barrage/pet team in UW and normal team on SF);
Deathmagic : 15 (+2 major rune of death)
Curses : 12 (+1 minor rune of curses + head scarpatern)
Soul reaping : 10 (+2 major rune of soul reaping)
+ major vigor

HP=421

-Rebirth
-SS
-suffering
-taste of death
-blood of the maser
-veratas sacrifice
-animate bone minion
-animate bone fiend

This build i use in UW and it works like a charm. I start with SS and suffering to get quicker corpses. By soulreaping i gain energy quick enough to start spamming fiends and minions (and by smamming i mean clicking one of the skills at a time; fiend - minion (fiend recharges) - fiend (minion recharges) and so on. With blood of the master and veratas i keep them alive when im out of battle (/doh). If being in a good team i never run out of energy thanks to soul reaping. Its just a matter of tactics when using the skills. But SS and suffering end as soon as i start building my minion army. It is just a speedup in the beginning of battle to gain quick corpses or when corpses arent coming quick enough to my taste.

Also having playes renewal and echo (lots of UW and FoW and PVE experience with both)

firemagic = 15 (+2 major fire rune (+ flame eye)
energy = 14 (+3 superiour energy rune)
+ major vigor

HP=421

- arcane echo
- aura of restauration
- elemental attunement
- fire attunement
- immolate
- fireball
- phoenix
- rodgorts invocation (or meteor shower; though i dont like exhaustion and castingtime. rodgort has same damage amount + set on fire IMO it is much more effective then meteor shower)

I start off with attuning elemental and fire by which i get a base regen of a total of 80% (yu can add percentages) then arcane echo; then fireball. from that one i cast mainly fireball, phoenix and rodgorts depending in the recharge time of fireball (which changes since i use a ragos flamestaff, so recharge is sometimes shorter) when im inbetween recharges of my mainskills i use immolate. By making sure i never lose attunement i can nuke constantly. My experience with renewal is that you lose much more energy (only fireattunement so max 30% base energy regain) which yu can prevent a little bit by using glyph of lesser energy. But that one has a fairly long recharge time.

Based on experience with different teams i made these builds. And since i tend not to die often (ele 283 times throughout the entire game; uw and fow missions; necro 325 times throughout the entire game; uw and fow missions); i think i can honestly say that these builds work for myself.

But builds, skills and runebuiding depend for the greater part on the player. None build is the same because everyone playes differently and uses different tactics. So for one a echo nuker works; for the other renewal nuker.

ive made a number of runs with guildmates without Necros at all using a Barrage Ranger and nuker .. or any combination or Rangers/Eles/Necros. ive been the Ranger, the Nuker, or a monk in these runs, and any of them can be as effective as the "accepted" team build

there isnt a rule that say the build is one way or another guys and your missing our of some good gameplay and options by subscribing to one persons or groups idea of how a build/team should be.
