Graphics

The minds behind Warhammer Online have tried to make the characters resemble the miniatures used in the original game. Do you think this is a good idea when graphics are getting more and more advanced for MMOs? And do you think they have succeeded at what they were going for? Lastly, does the style of the characters appeal to you?

Well, probably a good idea since I'm sure the audience they were trying to reach are the Warhammer fans. Personally, it looks to WoW-ish for my taste.

I think that is something they are going to hear a lot. But then there are a lot of people who enjoy how WoW looks, so maybe that is a good thing.

i dont like the WoW graphics much myself. i hope that WAR doesnt turn out to look like the WoW fairyland (darnassus)

I think it will be a lil more ''realistic'' but not much, atleast the characters wont be so different. thats just the warhammer style not because they want to look like WoW.

Check out Pirates of the Burning Sea... Yarr! We got some interestin stuff goin on!

wow graphics are too cartoony and boring the problem with extra realistic graphics is it takes more polys and that will lag if you got game events with say 40 other players. so far the graphics look good i dont think they look too much like wow.

I think the graphics look awesome, they really bring out the miniature look and to be honest, overall feel of the Warhammer world.

Cartoony, but realistic, if that makes sense.

The only problem I have actually, is with the graphics for Witchunter's holding their guns. I've seen a few, and the gun looks way to big to be honest.

But other then that, awesome.

the reason that warhammer looks like wow is cos in fact , WoW was going to be a warhammer game , but the deal was broke off so they had to redo the lands by mnay of the creatures look the same

that is right, they two games are quite similar which could be awesome or its downfall.

Though the mechanics look like they will have enough differences that it will be awesome!
