| Factions Collectors Edition? |

Has anyone checked with their retailer where they pre-ordered from to find out if they really ARE recieving the collectors edition?
I was discussing this in my guild today. EBgames and BestBuy have both removed it from the listing. EBgames has a link for the CE on their homepage, but it is broken. If you search for factions, there isn't any pages shoing the collectors edition.
I also stopped by my retailer where I preordered the CE from and they did say it was still due in on 27 Apr.

Hmm, I pre-ordered mine from GameStop, and they have removed it from their website aswell. I was gonna go tomorrow to finish paying on it, so I will get you some answers tomorrow, I promise. ^^

I think they removed the Collector's Edition from their website because it's no longer available for preorder (as in "sold out") If you did preorder from them, you will receive it on release. No need to panic.
Removing it from their website only affect those who decide to preorder the Collector's Edition now or later. They can still get it from Ebay and such, but more likely for a higher price.

yeah i had ce reserved...and i called to verify and they said i had the ce...so its most likely sold out

I found an answer, sort of. Here is is from an anet official, Alex Weekes, NCSoft (Europe).

I can confirm that the Factions Standard Edition will be available worldwide on the 28th.

The advantage to Guild-Hall.net being an "elite" fansite is they get posts from anet officials. So if the CE ISN'T available on the 27th or 28th, how long are you willing to wait? Myself, I might wait till COB 28, but them I'm kind of on a time crunch.

Hmmmmm... this better not delay me playing Factions, I wont like that one single bit. I might have to see what I can order in from America or something fast.

It seems that the American stores are the ones most affected. I could be wrong though.
I've ordered from the UK and Gameplay still has it listed on their site, and I've received no email to notify me of a possible delay. Since I've received emails in the past about delays I would have thought a week out from release I would have had a notice.
Most of the Aussies complaining are getting their's through EB (a US company), another reason I believe that this problem may be restricted to "supplies coming from the US".
Other players have reported that the CE has been removed from the pages of Bestbuys and EB.
*crosses fingers* Please let it be only US supplies that are the problem.

I ordered it from EBGames (retail location in Vancouver, BC, Canada) and asked for the Collectors. He replied he only had one skew on the GWF so I said ok, if you guys get it in, I'll bring the extra 20-30 bucks to pay the additional price (I was charged $79.99 CAN. I'll jsut grab the reg edition, give them extra money, put it back and grab the CE, or something along those lines.

I talked to my retailer, Webhallen (EBGames) today and they said that it is possible that some of us whom have ordered GWFCE may get it on release, but he wasn't certain. They will send out an e-mail to all who have ordered it today or tomorrow explaining how it's going to be.
They also said, that if it is delayed I will have it by may 3rd. I really hope I get my copies by friday...

Yea, here in an hour or so, I'm gonna call my Local Gamestop and ask about the rumor. When I went there this past Friday to finish paying off my CE, I asked about the rumor, and he assured me, that it will be out on the 28th of April.

I ordered my Factions CE ages ago but I received an E-mail from my retailer today.... It seems they only have 50 copies of the CE and there's well over 200 pre orders and the great part is: They don't know when/if they get any more copies of it! :D

Yea, that is a problem with pre-ordering a collectors edition. All I can say is. be there when the doors open Friday. ^^ That's what I'm gonna do.
