I always here about people and guildies talking about how they made 100k today or those people in the trade towns with long lists of 15^50 rare skinned items and stuff like that. It just seems they're doing something different than me to find rare items and farm cash. When I ask them how they got it they say something along the lines of im not telling u... its a secret etc. or not responding or not really answering me like i just kill stuff. I think the most money I've ever made in a day is about 20k. So how do these people make vast amounts of cash so quickly and find the items to spam lists worth more then i've ever made. do they just find alot of stuff over a long period of time and sell it all at once or are there some spots that are just easier to find good items at.
I should also ask if there arnt some cool secret spots what would you guys say the fast way of making money is?

to answer your first question, no there arent any secret spots, unless maby you mean FoW and UW
i farm the FoW beaches solo, i make about 12 on average per run, runs last 45minutes-1hr
somtiems i find a nice item from a chest or drop, and sell it for a good ammount,
most of these people just got lucky from doing chest runs in the FoW, running around hoping for a good drop..
OR they win the hall of heros and get a kickass item of some kind
hope i answered your question, and sometimes yea they do hoard it until they get a bunch then sell at once

when you mean 12 you mean 12 k? or 12 shards? also i can never do the spider part of solo FoW i need help :/

Hmm I would have to disagree with the commment no secret spots. The 2 chests in Dreadnaughts Drifts were secret for a long time. then within a week of someone posting it they were nerfed. Also I'm quite sure there are other spots still untold or not widely known. Check around in the forums though, and not the general areas try the more specific ones. You find out about some good areas and solo builds for them.
If all else fails, pay a visit to the Ettins outside North Kryta Prov. They always like droppin Gold Runes :)

They're not secret, just not as widely known, as soon as spots become well known they get nerfed because 1000s of people begin to exploit it.
People like to keep these spots quiet to stop that from happening. The Lost Strongboxes, as already stated, are the prime example of how sharing can ruin it for everyone. No more Dwarvens and Serpents for me :(
Finding the perfect rare weapon is about persistence, they don't drop automatically because of the spot, they do drop in these areas, but as with everything it is random.

But you are definatly correct, telling people only creates nerfs that ruin the area. But those chests were an exploit that was kept secret, because they were so close to a portal.
People have told me they made 100k an hour on them salvaging materials.
I'm just mad I didn;t get in on it :)

You have a copy of the world map in front of you, how can any place be a secret...?
The undead drop Sephis Axes, people know that from the Krytan Missions and the Catacombs of pre. Everybody knows the highest level un-dead are south of ToA... but it's a secret that the un-dead south of ToA drop rare Sephis Axes?

actually the highest lvl of undead is in FOW. the skeletons just after the first bit are like lvl 28

Actually Rotscale is level 30, and he's around Kryta... There are other 20+ (Not sure if it's 24 or 28) Bosses in that area too.

Grawl farming is my favorite place. They drop a lot of armor, not often purple or gold, but good salvage items or just items to sell. Also, as with the troll tusk collector, Grawl Necklace collecters items sell for 125 gold each, so theres some more good money. It wont get nerfed for a while, because I would think it would be too hard to bot it. Anet only nerfs things that are unfair or exploited.

Yeah, I think it would be impossible to bot the grawl farm. I can't even do it. I've got all the right stuff and skills, and have tried it about 20 times I think, and I've only managed to kill the warriors three times I think, and never got all the spellcasters. Those three times the drops were crap, so I just gave up.

I think he means TopK. u got to HoH from TopK before it got to PvE. or he means HoH in HA, cuz u can get a Serpent Axe from there, right?

Nope, he meant Hall of Heroes. If you actually win a battle in the hall itself, your team gets a choice drop of items, containing very very nice golds and some Celestial Sigils, which purchase guild halls.

yeah, if you win HoH you get to open a chest and a gold, a sigil, or a purple will come out (i think there's purples). I wanna know where the dwarven axes drop most.

Well, according to what I've read, winners in the Hall of Heroes in Heroes Ascent open a chest, from which drop one gold item and three celestial sigils. So half the team gets something, and it is random. Only one thing drops for a person, eg. one person cannot get the gold item and a celestial sigil after one win, or two sigils, but if you win five times in a row, the same person four people could get the drops while the other four get nothing.

i like doing SF team farms the loot from drops is good and most chests r gold. plus enslavement stones and dredge manifestos can be traded to collectors for good money.
plus greens. 1 time I got a dragos flat bow and the Stonehart 50K :)
i make like 5-7k a run plus greens (not as good as FoW or UW but i nvr have favor /cry)
