I was recently thinking of changing my second profession to Elementalist and the sort of build i had in mind is.
Hammer build with knockdown skills, using Aftershock and Armor of earth and stances for defence.
My question about this is, Has anyone tested a build like this and is it effective. Any help is greatly apreciated so i dont waste my time ingame...

it sounds promising. There is a similar popular GvG and PvP guild that uses conjure lightning and shock, the rest axe or hammer skills and frenzy

yea.. umm that build has been around for AGES!!!
it works OK, nowadays w/r using hammers are better or a w/r using hammers,
the uild is old, it is hard ot maintain because of high energy costs, i personally dont like it

ok Let me start by saying, That sentence makes no sence at all...
I have Decided to have a play around with the build but im finding it difficult to get a good level of defence while still keeping damage dealing high. Could someone please post a build here so i can see if and where im going wrong...
Once again i give thanks in advance, Please someone help me out with this...

The build is old and is called KD/AS and was used during Smite days.
Glads Armor + Stoneskin gauntlets(YOU MUST USE)
Some sort of hammer elite that knocks down which is all of them I think.
Backbreaker/Earth Shaker/Devastating Hammer
Frenzy
Irresitable Blow
Crushing blow
Res Signet
Staggering blow(if backbreaker is elite or Earth Shaker) else bulls strike
Aftershock
Heavy Blow
Backbreaker
Gain adrenaline. Once elite is charged start combo with your elite + frenzy, crushing blow= deepwound, Staggering blow(if backbreaker is elite) + heavy blow = 6 seconds of knockdown.
Dev Hammer
Gain adrenaline. Once elite is charged start combo with your elite + frenzy, crushing blow= deepwound, heavy blow.
Earth Shaker
Never used this elite but knocking down a large group of enemies and using AS on the group can be devastating to a team.
Forgot use AS at some point throughout this knockdown combo.... I think using it near the end of the combo is best.

will im a W/ELEM but i dont use hammer sorry, but ill give u the build i have
strength=7 (+1)
stance=10 (+2)
sword=9
earth magic= i think 9 or 10
SKILLS: gladiators defense(elite),shield stance,healing signet, riposite, final thrust, server artery, gash, and armor of earth
this is great for farming, like when ur taking meele dmg and u use rioposit so u can deal heavy dmg like enchanted sword and hammers. the armor of earth will provide you the great defense and when ur health is low, use gladiators 1st. then use healing signet so u wont be interupted, and if u didnt get enough healing, then use shield stance. i farmed sand griffions, sand elemantals, wurms, and trolls. pluse its very fun.
and also, whats so good with shock warriors? i easily deafeted 2 of them in random arenas and won the whole battle by myself with my w/mo. pluse the shock warriors can be easily be deafeted if some sword guy is useing riposite and gladiators defense. so whts the big deal about them? (instead u knock them down)
