Hey everyone. First let me say, Great Site! I have been lurking for a couple of months now since I started playing CoV and use the site for reference quite a bit. So, thanks for the site.
Secondly, Help! I have a mission I simply cannot complete and I'm thinking maybe it's a bug or something. I have a Lvl 32 MM and have a mission from Operative Rutger: Defeat all Agents in base. So the mission map is 2 floors, both fairly small. I walk through killing all of the Arachnos agents, and then at the end I click the glowie to "plant the evidence". Once that is done the mission status no longer says plant the evidence, however, it still says defeat all agents. I expected a wave or two of ambushing agents, but nothing came. I have walked through the map several times, reset and have done the mission 5 times now and everytime it's the same thing. Every inch of the map is uncovered and there is simply noone else in there for me to kill. Has anyone experienced anything like this before, and if so, any suggestions on how I can complete this one?

Welcome to the sight Screaming : )
Well .. personally I bloody hate defeat all. Luckily Mastermind has an advantage! I'm betting you simply missed either a room or one of the baddies got knocked into a wall/behind a pillar somewhere. I've spent hours crawling missions like that before. So, I turn my pets on auto attack (aggressive) and have them follow me around and jump into every nook and cranny I Can find.
If you still have issues I suggest leaving one of those missions open and trying to petition for a GM to check itout. They can scan the area to see if a baddie is left or not though they probably won't kill it for you or tell you where it is : P Just make sure they know its your 5th attempt not just that you're lazy : )

after that much work i would petition it. we had a mish on a TF like that turns out a couple mobs spawned behind the wall, GM told us to get ready and dragged it out where we could kill it. also had a COH mish where a nova was in a wall and could hit us but we could not hit him. Also i had a map whre I spawned outside the map, but i digress. petition it I imagine as someone stated if you missed it your pets shoulda found it.

Yeah, Unwelcome to the site. Glad you decided to get involved with us (good or bad...you're stuck now!).
I would agree, you probably missed something. I've had some mission like that where I look for hours and nothing, but once I submit a 'Bug' report, POOF, something turns up. Always happens after I submit the report and I go to an area that I've checked a million times and a straggler is there.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses guys. I did run through the map every time I had tried it with my minions on Aggressive and they also found nothing. I thought that would do it too, as I have encountered invisble enemies many times, that I can neither see nor attack. Luckily my little horde can always take care of them for me. Soo.. umm... how does this petition thing work? I don't expect them to kill anyone for me, I wouldn't want them stealing my xp! ; ) I just want to be able to finish the mission.. Thanks again guys.

Welcome to our evil, little site.
Basically, I'd run the mission, and if you still can't find the last guy, stay in the mission and /petition it. You do this from the your game menu, I think it's called "Support". Click the "stuck" radio button and fill in the description of something like "Can't find last MOB" or something, and send it on it's way.
In about 5-20 minutes, you should get a tell from GM_____ asking you if you still need assistance. Tell them what's going on, and they'll ask you to invite them to a team.
They'll either show you where the bad guys are ("Look on the map and come to my location"), or they'll TP you to them, or they'll TP the baddies to you.
All of my experiences with the GM's help have always been good. With all the crap that folks give NCSoft about everything, I gotta say they really got the in-game support right at least...

I think I remember that mish with my Brute. I remember it to be very frustrating. I found them after I went into one of those “Red” areas that have a “shield” at the entrance and exit. The last two were stuck behind some of the equipment, and it was by luck that I found them.
I will say that the online support is generally pretty good. With a Game this Massive, their work and reply time is very good.
I guess that is why I don’t like it when I hear people complain (you are not, I am talking about the Broadcasters that don’t seem to have a life) about the glitches and small problems they have. They make it out to be the end of the world. Just think of the complexity of putting together both COH and COV into a seamless virtual world. It really is a massive task trying to make it work with an infinite amount of variables and programming. I always try to cut them some slack, and many times the glitches can be funny. For a while with my SS/Inv Brute I was knocking Longbow into the ceiling….literally. They would be stuck up there and we could not hit them but they could hit us. A well timed hand clap knocked them out and then I smashed them the old fashion way.

I agree, big games/programs/systems are gonna have a glitch or two, but overall, I've found this one to be put together very well (outside of certain decisions of course...lol).
Hey Kal, where did you find the Escrima Sticks? The burnt Ratans have a nice balance to them.

Hey Bishop.
That is the logo for a group I have/had in training. We trained in the martial art of Kali and rattan sticks were the primary training tools. That image was hand made sketch by a local graphic artist, and the logo of my group. I have an outdated website (been to busy playing COV to update it LOL) Band Of The Rattan.

I had 1 mission that when my team steped into this large area of the map our lower half's went through the floor and the mobs on the floor below us couldshoot us and we couldn't shoot them. I've also had alot of warehouse missions where there will be this wierd black wall, and when you go through it the rest of the warhouse is on the other side.

Thanks again guys, I haven't had a chance yet to try it out, but if after my 6th attempt I still come up empty, I will try the petition. Haven't had a chance to touch my lvl 32 as I just got my sister hooked on the game and she bought it today. So I had to make an Alt to start with her....
Guess I'm not the only one with some small glitches. Usually I can just reset the mission and go back to complete it, but this one had been a bit of a pain. Thanks again for the tips.

I have run into this peoblem many times. Most likely you have some mobs who need to spawn and have not.
You need to contact a GM through your Help menu and send a report in asking for in game help. They will come in and make the mobs appear. I have never waited long for them to reply either.
Make sure you are not filing a bug report since they do not look at them right away.
Hope that helps. Oh yeah, WELCOME TO THE SITE!!!!

"Funniest" one of these i saw was a warehouse mish where you go straight and the path splits and there are garage doors on each side. One side thre are mobs and as soon as you attack they "warp" across the screen and disappear. apparantly they were popping outside map area. funny effect hit one the others "poof". One poor guy gotthis on his cape mish though and its defeat all, think he finally found someone else with this mish and did it with them so he coul d "click complete" and move on
Another good one was an indoor DE COH mish, the one with the green water in it (for you COH peeps) and the same thing happened, cept they were all warping to the elevator area, found that out the hard way BIGGO mob.

This is kind of late but that mish is indeed bugged, I ran it with a few guys on sunday and the minions spawned under the second floor, i believe, but not at the 1st floor. They spawned in that corner after the elevator on the second floor if i remember correctly. If you look down you will see some glowing tarantula legs.

Quick update: there was a mob that spawned outside of the map, on the second floor. Couldn't see them through the floor anywhere, but while flying around one of my zombies managed to get himself outside the mission walls and I watched his health quickly deplete. So, I sent the petition and within a few minutes had a response and the mob moved (somewhat) to my location. They were moved under the floor I was on, but my horde somehow pried thier way down there and finished them off. Then ran around aimlessly under the floorboards trying to get back to me...
Now then, my next 2 mission I've received are both on Primeva in Nerva, but I can't for the life of me get to the entrance. I can get as close as 50 feet away or so, but there is always a wall or some ground in my way of getting any closer. I hate to send a petition again so quickly, especially since it very well could just be me. Anyone run into this previously or have any more suggestions for me? Thanks.

Hey, you must have found that cave entrance mission. There is actually an entrance on ground level you have to locate. It's like a mini cave with an entrance door inside of it. They have a sick humor that way.

I'd say everyone gets one of these missions. My worst was my MM's aura mission. Went in, beat all the CoTs did ritual and now ambush spawns. Me and my team went through every corner 6 or 7 times before calling a GM.
Then the spawns come charging in after 45 minutes of searching. Not sure if it was the GM (don't thinks so) but a 45 minute mission became an hour and a half irritation.
COH aura and cape missions are way too easy compared to COV.

I was on a mission where it was stop rituals, then ambushes would spawn.. like the one talked about above.. well anyways, we're level 34 roughly, and 41 CoT Behemoths come running in for the ambush.. needless to say no one had a good day

You know I thought of starting a new thread about just that. If GM’s are on the ready all the time, I wonder if they ever just screw with some missions they might be watching. For example the 41 Behemoth spawns. I can just see a couple of them watching a bank of monitors, then one saying “Dude watch this!” releasing the 41 spawns, and then laughing and laughing at the team wipe that just happened.
I am pretty sure I would do it if I was in that position.

Yeah, thanks again guys. I figured that both of the missions just had hard to find entrances. I'll spend some more time today searching. The only problem I run into is that I am lvl 32 and a lot of the spawns around the entrances, at least where the markers are directing me, are up around the lvl 37 mark. Just makes finding those entrances that much harder. Good times!
