Yes...the code you entered to unlock the preorder special items is the same one that will let you get a head start.

Whats the deal with the preorder cd. I know its contains the head start cd code and we just add it to our account (if thats what we want) But what about the actual game? Is it part of the game on the disk or do we downlod a partial client from the main site or what?

The pre-order does exactly what you would expect of it from its name...It pre-orders the game. It isnt the game, nor does it contain a game access code (except for the trials and the one head start day). When you buy it, you pay money down on the actual game, and then you go back and buy the full retail version. It guarantees you a copy, and it gives you access to the fun pre-order stuff.

Not only that, but its a good source of funds for A-Net to finish off the project, as well as an assured source of income as soon as the game is released.

RE: extra day head start

Hehe, i guess tahts still not what im getting at. Basically what i want to know is this...How do we access the game files necessary to jump into cantha, access canthan files that are necessary in order to get in on the head start. If weve got the preorder cd enabling us to enter the head start, and yet have no game or way to get the game files necessary to access canthan files how are we suppose dto get in on the head start? =S

Edit: Horrid run-on sentence fix =P

How did you play the FPE?

(Most of) the files have been streamed to us over the past month or two, so while you will have to download some before you play the Head Start, much of the content will already be there.

Because the Head Start event isn't actually Cantha. It's a Tengu-related event that allows us to get Tengu Masks. They havent' released all the info yet, but we do know it isn't actually Cantha.

Ok heres how it works on 4/27 if you have the pre order code tied to your acoun you can play the head start then on 4/28 u get the copy of the actual game and install it and link it to your acount and all that. so you dont need the retail version of game in order to play the head start but to continue you have to get the game

I wa sunder the impression that the Head Start event was to get people who decided to order the pre-order disk in Cantha before everyone else. Also that the Tengu Event is a "last minute" planned event from A-Net for us who did order the preorder.

RE: extra day head start

Really?

QUOTE
As you know, the Head Start allows access to the lands of Cantha a full 24 hours before the game’s global release. During those hours, Cantha is hosting a special event—Day of the Tengu—where players celebrate the first anniversary of peace since the cessation of the Tengu Wars. But all is not peace and harmony even now, for the day’s events are threatened by a return of the vile Naga.

In Cantha, you are invited to complete a series of quests in honor of the Tengu, quests that also aid in the effort to beat back the erstwhile invading forces. If you are successful, you will earn Naga Fangs, which you can exchange for unique rewards! At periodic intervals throughout the course of the day's event, be sure that you visit Shing Jea Monastery, where you will find that, if you have a sufficient number of Naga Fangs, the fangs will be converted into wearable Tengu Masks. These coveted items—customized just for you—will be unique across all Guild Wars campaigns!
