Dark Ages of Camelot
DAoC Expansion: Catacombs has announced its Open Beta Sign ups. Open for those with DAoC of course. The Camelot Herald ( http://www.camelotherald.com/catacombs_bet...tacombs_app.php ) is where to apply for beta testing of the upcoming Catacombs expansion for Dark Age of Camelot. Applications will be accepted until Monday morning, and word is: "From this pool, we will randomly select thousands of players to creep through damp passages, explore hidden worlds and shadowy cities, and generally fight evil."

Star Wars Galaxies
SWG Friday Features include a 360 degree image of the Endor space sector and a little background info on the Veteran Reward Yacht. The Sorosuub 3000 in Jump to Lightspeed is approximately 90 meters long and has 8 Rooms including a Bridge, Stateroom, Meditation room, Armory, Engineering, Bar and two Observation decks. Its Three stories high and has 2 elevators and 26 windows (so players can enjoy the "glass bottom boat" effect in space). The luxury yacht that will be made available to Galaxy citizens will be the pleasure model that does not have Lando's "special modifications. The ship will be invulnerable to attack, possess no weapon systems, sensor arrays, escape pods, droid brain etc. Only veteran players of over six months in Star Wars Galaxies will have a chance to call the luxury yacht their own. There are however technical limitations with having more than one multiplayer vehicle decorated at the same time. That won't be possible.
Heroes of Might and Magic
GameSpot has news of plans to develop an MMORPG based on the Might and Magic franchise for the Chinese market. According to the report the game is due in China next year, and "A worldwide launch is also being considered. The approach on this product is to blend Asian gameplay elements and a Western franchise with high recognition in the Asian territories."

Paragon City Film Festival: Honorable Mentions Part 2: Three more short films from the Paragon City film festival have been posted on the official City of Heroes website. "Continuing last week’s showcase of our Honorable Mentions, we have the last three videos we’d like to share with the community: “The Operatives in ‘Crash Landing’” and "Ambush in Perez Park" in the Action category and for Comedy, “Hype Won."

Answer: There are bunches of easter eggs in EverQuest. One example is in the tutorial, each NPC there is named after a member of the design team. You can also find most of the design teams corpses in a high level Gates zone.

New Xfire Version 1.0 is now available of the Xfire server-browser/instant messenger client for gamers. The new release adds a feature called "Cross-game messaging," that allows messages to be sent to players who are already playing a game, and can even send messages from a player within one game to a player within an entirely different game, with this example offered: "So for the first time, a gamer playing Quake 3 could send messages to a friend playing Everquest or to a friend playing Counter-Strike, and so on."
